Located on Denman Street, Ôngbà Vietnamese Eatery is a small eatery with a cozy atmosphere and a homey feel. The interior features lovely family photos on the wall, giving it a warm and inviting ambiance. The service is wonderful, with staff offering a teapot with real tea and a menu featuring a range of Vietnamese dishes. Favorites include the Bahn mi, salad rolls with fresh vegetables, and the Beef soup with a generous portion of meat. The lemongrass tofu bowl and lemongrass chicken bowl are excellent, and the fried mushrooms are a unique surprise, especially the deep fried enoki mushroom which is crazy! The chili oil is unreal, and the peach drink is perfect for a hot summer day. The staff are friendly and helpful, often providing extra chili oil with crushed chilies at no charge. The restaurant offers its own delivery service, avoiding extra delivery fees and allowing for tips directly to the staff.
