Olympia Pizza & Pasta Restaurant(Denman st) Vancouver

Had a medium veg pizza delivered with extra sauce...received cold ...no sauce and you could call it very very well done...yuck!!!!

Olympia Pizza on Denman st is hands down one of the best Greek restaurants in Vancouver. The staff are always incredibly kind and welcoming, and their prices are very fair. The chicken is as fresh as it gets, with that just-off-the-grill flavor and a juicy tenderness that really stands out, and the quality of the food is consistently outstanding.
One thing I really appreciate is that when you ask for substitutions, they’re happy to accommodate you without any hassle. It’s that kind of customer service that keeps people coming back.
Between the amazing food and the genuinely friendly staff, this is one of the nicest restaurants you’ll find. I honestly couldn’t rate these guys any higher. Absolutely phenomenal.

Went for lunch with friends... Standard Greek restaurant fare. What stood out was the value for price. Took home about half and had another meal. I'd go back!

The lamb was absolutely amazing

Went here for dinner tonight, ordered roast lamb and souvlaki. We were having a nice dinner for about 15 minutes until my partner found a 1 inch cockroach cooked into the rice. We stopped eating, and when the server came we explained and said we obviously didn’t want to continue eating. They brought the bill and instead of $70 took $5 off for the inconvenience. Paid the bill, even tipped and left. Wont ever return. Sometimes I dont know what timeline im living in, insane.

UPDATED: To respond to the owner, this took place on Sunday May 31, around 7pm. The charge for our bill on my credit card was $72.62. Sat on patio, server was a young guy early 20s. My only regret was not taking photos.

I can honestly say I’ve fallen in love with this bread! 🤩 I really enjoy ordering a meal that comes with everything you need,salad, tzatziki sauce, meat, rice, roasted potatoes, and even a lemon wedge. It makes the whole meal feel complete and so satisfying. I’ve also heard that the pizza here is delicious, so I’ll definitely be trying it on my next visit! 🤩

Olympia is always really good and solid place to eat. I've been there many times. You’re never negatively surprised and the food is great! The servers are always very attentive and polite, the portions are big, the prices are good, and it feels cozy… you can’t go wrong.

PS: I do hate that you guys serve tzatziki in a plastic take out container, it feels cheap and lazy, also it's such an unnecessary waste, small ramekins are not expensive guys. Come on!

The pizza was ok, but 8.00 for 1.5 cups of lettuce with a slice of tomato is an insult to salads.

My husband and I stopped in at Olympia Pizza a couple of weeks ago after a long day of walking around Vancouver, and we were so glad we did. The staff were incredibly warm and made us feel right at home from the moment we walked in. We shared a classic Greek salad and a pepperoni pizza that came out of the oven perfectly crispy, just the way we like it. We will absolutely be making this a regular stop whenever we come back to the city.

I really appreciated this best service received last weekend by server Shawn. He made a birthday celebration special for this out of town Mom and her son. We started with the Calamari which was delicious. Also ordered the Roast Lamb which had lots of meat cooked perfectly and the Lasagne also very good. We were treated very well by all staff and sat outside. Will definitely be back to try the pizza! 😊

I’m really disappointed with my today’s experience. The waitress who served us was extremely rude and unprofessional. She seemed very impatient, and whenever we asked a question, she responded in a dismissive and annoyed tone. At one point, she even slammed a glass of water onto the table, which felt very disrespectful.

What made it worse was that when we tried to be polite and thanked her, she either ignored us completely or responded with a very cold and uninterested “you’re welcome.” It honestly ruined our day.

We’ve always loved the food here and used to enjoy coming to this restaurant, but now it feels stressful knowing we might be served by her again and have our experience ruined. This is really disappointing because we used to be regular customers.

I visited this restaurant today with my friends. As always, the food was absolutely delicious and met my expectations.

However, I had two issues with my experience. First, one of the staff members (a woman) had a very unfriendly attitude and seemed quite impatient, which made the service feel uncomfortable.

Second, I tried a cocktail that turned out to be the worst I’ve ever had. The taste was honestly terrible and very disappointing.

Overall, I still appreciate the quality of the food, but I hope the service and drinks improve in the futur

Ordered my usual large house special to go. When I got it home, I was very disappointed to find they had dramatically cut down on the toppings, the meat in particular. Sad

Do not come here if you have allergies! We ordered a vegetarian dish and received the meat one and instead of informing us of this mistake the waiter waited for us to ask him (we had to stop him as he walked by) if it was meat and then he informed us that there was a mix up and it was the meat dish, this was after we heard him admit the mistake to the table behind us. He should’ve immediately informed of this mistake incase one of us had an allergy, not wait for us to ask. We received our bill and saw that we were charged in full for all our dishes, no discount for the mistake, which we both expected. We came back to ask if there was anything that could be done and were informed that there was nothing that could be done. As someone who works in the service industry I found this to be ridiculous, as it was their mistake not ours, and my friend who has been vegetarian for her whole life is now scared of a reaction due to the meat she accidentally consumed. I would not recommend this place to anyone who is a following any restrictive diets or has any serious allergies. The waiter also called my friend petty when she asked if we could at least have our garlic toast refunded, which I do not care if there was nothing they could do you do not call a customer petty, she told him she could have a reaction to the meat and he called her petty for asking for a refund of a dollar and 50 cents from our 30 dollar bill!! Calling a PAYING customer petty is absolutely horrendous customer service for a mistake that was caused by the restaurant and not us! Please take this as a learning experience on food safety and I hope that waiter knows that calling a customer petty after she told you the very valid reasons why she was upset is absolutely absurd.
