I am very disappointed with my daughter’s recent experience at the residence dining hall. She arrived at about 9:40 PM while the posted closing time is 10:00 PM, but most hot food had already been cleared and only a few cold items were available. Later, when she picked up a small dessert and a biscuit to have the next morning, a male staff member followed her and kept watching her closely, which made her feel embarrassed and humiliated.
We paid nearly $7,000 CAD for the meal plan and expect students to be treated with respect and to have access to meals during the advertised hours. This treatment and level of service is unacceptable.

The burger was egregiously burnt. It was disgusting, and my hands become coated with black.

The food here is very unstable, sometimes good, sometimes bad. Once was way too salty, it tastes like it got drowned in salt and it even stings my tongue. Not good👎

I came here for dinner in my first year at UBC almost everyday, because it’s probably the best dining hall out of the three. The food was very consistent. My recommendations: butter chicken from Square Kitchen, fried rice from Custom Kitchen, and the occasional dim sum on weekends. There used to be serious health safety issues with bugs being found in the food, so be careful of that

To be honest if it wasn't for the newer building, it would be pretty bad. The food is comparable to totem park, except they don't have pizza.
Vegetarian options: As with all first year cafeterias there are many diet friendly options

Diversity and variety of food. But the taste of some dishes is terrible. However most of the time food is good.
