I had the chance to order their BOGO offer through Uber Eats. It was definitely worth it based on the cost.

One of our go-to places for Malaysian take-out. Came for a dine-in visit in January. The roti canai is perfectly flaky and light with a crispy outside and fluffy inside. Good chicken satay and mango fish.

Delicious Malaysian cuisine in a tiny cozy spot!

Portion is big but taste is subpar. I ordered char kway teow, chicken rice, and beef rendang nasi lemak. They all taste like the food I make at home: good attempts at making authentic Singaporean food, but there is still something missing. The char kway teow lacks salt and signature "char" taste. The chicken in chicken rice is bland like boiled chicken. The beef rendang is not tender and has strong beef smell. The anchovies in nasi lemak is crisp but small. You can call these authentic, but they're not as good as those sold in hawker centers in Singapore. On the other hand, the coconut rice and chicken rice is surprisingly good. The portion is quite big. The food is not too oily which is a big plus. The soup that came with the chicken rice is good.

I've lived in Malaysia. This restaurant's Curry Laksa (seafood) was good. 4/5.The Bak Kut Teh tasted bad. The flavour was nothing close to authentic. Even the "meh" store at crystal mall did better. You're better off making this dish yourself with a herb packet. 0/5.The cendol was made with miniaturised ice pellets, not shaved ice. The red beans were too firm in texture. Some of the green jellies were still frozen. The gula melaka was ok but lacked oomph. 2.8/5Hainanese Chicken Rice: the streamed chicken and ABC soup were ok. 3.5/5. The rice was cooked fine but had an unplacable flavour. 2/5.Overall rating 2.5/5.

The chicken in the chicken rice is a boneless drumstick and tastes pretty bland. The rice is bland and dry as well. They do have the signature chilli sauce that comes with Hainanese chicken rice so it isn't all bad. Also, I have a habit of wiping down my utensils and plates in restaurants and the tissue shows what was wiped off from the chopsticks. This would be ranked 3rd from the list of chicken rice I've had from my Vancouver trip.

Tried this restaurant for the first time. The decor was nice. Service was really good. The staff was very friendly and polite. They really looked after us. The food was amazing. We tried the Lamb Satay and Roti Canai as an appetizer. Excellent! We ordered the Kari Ayam with steamed rice ( dark meat chicken with potatoes stewed in red curry and lemongrass ) and the Kari Beef Brisket with steamed rice ( beef brisket, potatoes, coconut milk, stewed in red curry with lemongrass ) It was unbelievable. What fantastic dishes. I could not stop eating. It was very flavorful, and spiced just right. This is going to be in my regular rotation from here on in. Loved this place.

So happy to have my Singaporean craving satisfied. I had hokkien mee and soya bean with grass jelly drink. It brought me back to my years of living in Singapore. I was hoping for the chilli. Food was good.

food here is okaywe ordered the deluxe curry platter - (doesnt include any rice or anything, just curry)the chicken was good, lots of curry with it toothe beef and lamb - seemed like maybe they didnt mix up the pot or only grabbed from the top of the pot as it was at least 50% oil instead of curry.on the menu it is labelled as a spicy dish, but it wasnt spicy at all.had their roti canai before its good enoughoverall, since i live close by, i would give this place another chance but i will ask they actually give me curry over oilnot a fan of the rendang beef or lamb since it was just oilthe curry chicken i would recommend and eat again

Heard about this place online and was lucky to find one in vancouver. Generous portions, delicious food. The atmosphere is bustling with conversation, giving a nostalgic feeling of home. One may think it to be noisy but it adds to the charm of this restaurant. I recommend for anyone looking to try if you've never had malysian cuisine before. Specifically the hainanese chicken rice, roti canai, curry laksa. These dishes combing cultures from China and India respectively.

I recently placed a pick-up order from this restaurant, First time coming here, and likely will be my last. Ordered the rendang beef, basil leaf chicken and mee goreng. First of all, when I ordered online, I noticed the default tip amount was 15% (which I accidentally hit) -- I had meant not to do this and was not happy that it was defaulted to this percentage. Lesson learned to pay more attention. When I picked up my order, I noticed right away they charged me .25 cent for the paper bag it was placed in. The issue I have is nowhere was there an option to select a paper bag for not. Had I been given this option, I would have said no since I carry reusable bags with me everywhere. I then also noticed on my bill a "service fee". What is that? So you are telling me on top of a 15% tip, a 25 cent paper bag, I was also being charged a service fee!!!!I remember seeing the paper bag with my order and thinking that is a small bag for 3 entrees. When I got home and looked inside, I was appalled how small the portions were. I knew right away this would not even feed 3 people. I threw away the bill in disguise when I got home. But I remember thinking after all the different charges, I was paying 20% more than the actual cost of the meal!!!! Outrageous! There are many other Malaysian restaurants that charge less, have no service fees, no defaulted tip 20% option, and much bigger proportions.I like to support ma and pa shops but definitely not this one.I feel ripped off. Not a repeat customer
