About Kopitiam Malaysia

Kopitiam Malaysia offers a mix of experiences. While some found the food just okay, with chicken not quite fresh and sambal shrimps smaller than expected, others enjoyed tasty dishes. The Singaporean Chili crab was a letdown, lacking sauce and flavor, while the Sambal Kang kong was overly salty and small in portion. The Penang tofu was not recommended, but the Roti and Hainanese Chicken received mixed reviews. The Mee Goreng was criticized for being too soupy and mushy, while the Beef Rendang failed to impress with tough brisket and light sauce. However, the Asam Laksa made with sardines was a bright spot, although not quite traditional. The Deluxe Curry Platter and steamed Hainanese Chicken were praised for their taste and portion size. The green beans were good, tastes fresh and crispy. The roti and rendang beef curry sauces were too watery, lacking curry flavour. Some dishes can be made vegan. The restaurant ambiance was quiet and service friendly, with free parking available. The food was served quickly, and the menu offers a lot of variety, with several dishes like the Cha Kwetiau, braised beef Kari, and pork sate receiving high praise. Customers enjoyed the tiger prawn with mangos and the fried banana with ice cream as well. Overall, while some dishes may miss the mark, there are still delicious options to explore at Kopitiam Malaysia at a good price point.

The food was amazing. We had the roti to start, with chicken pendang with coconut rice. So tasty!! The lychee drink was also exceptional.
The service was also very good, the wait for the food was excellent.
We don't live in Canada, but if we dis live local we would definitely be back.

I’m so glad I tried this place—the food was delicious and it wasn’t too long to wait. Plus, the servers were super friendly! I’d definitely recommend giving Malaysian food !

We picked this place out of curiosity and were really excited to try their Laksa. I’m not sure if they were short-staffed because of Mother’s Day or if this is their usual staffing level, but there were only two waitresses handling the entire restaurant along with the takeout orders.

We waited quite a while for our order to be taken. Although we were seated before the table next to us, the waitress took their order first.

The timing of the meals was also disappointing....read full review
