On November 1, I visited this cafe with my mom and sister while we were out wedding dress shopping, hoping for a cozy spot to take a quick break. We arrived about an hour before closing, but were met with a very unwelcoming attitude from the staff. Rather than a friendly greeting, we were immediately told they’d be closing in an hour, which felt abrupt. After ordering a drink and a pastry, I sat down briefly, only to be reminded again that they were closing soon—even though I’d already said we wouldn’t be staying long.

To make things worse, when my mom thanked one of the employees on our way out twice, he completely ignored her. We only stayed for 15 minutes and after leaving, I stood outside to get directions to our next stop, and the staff member opened the door and dumped a cup of water just a foot away from me, which felt unnecessarily rude.

I don’t normally write bad reviews, but I really felt uncomfortable and thought I should share my experience. While the drink and pastry were both delicious, the unwelcoming attitude from both staff members made this a disappointing experience.

What happened to you, Prado? We used to have office next door and food was good. I propose taking breakfast bagel off the menu))

Perfect for a coffee break during a M-F Office job!

I work 2 blocks away from the place, and I always come here for a little break with drinks (depending on the weather). It's always filled with people, neither too loud or too quiet, but cozy.

I love their kombucha tea and a few other specialty drinks, especially because I don't drink coffee.

Haven't had any breakfast or meal here yet, but would definitely want to try their food one day!

No baby change table. I had to him either on the bathroom floor or a bench outside.

A lovely spot for coffee and a bit to eat just around the corner from Granville Market. The coffee was some of the best I’ve had in a very long time, and the Carrot Cake was sensational. I also through the prices were extremely reasonable too.

It’s definitely worth stopping by if you’re in the area!

We wanted to find somewhere for brunch and this hit the spot perfectly. The cappuccino was superb. We ordered avocado and pea on toast and smoked salmon on toast with sides of poached eggs. Both were delicious

Ok, but really not a highlight. there are definitively better cafes in Vancouver.

probably I picked the wrong dish on the menu, see on my picture... the bread (toasted sandwich) was really tough, I was barely able to cut it with my knive and I needed to chew on it like a bubble gum. It was not tasty, expected way better and it lied in my stomach the whole day like a stone so that I only ate again late in the evening.

The mint avocado toast which my girlfriend had was way better though and a good choice!

service is not really a thing here, sorry to say. when your cup or plate is empty no one will take care of it to remove it from your table. instead you need to put it away by yourself.

free good wifi available though and good choice of coffee, tea and pastries.

Busy modern cafe that opens early. Friendly and fast service.got here at 7:15 am and customers are coming in nonstop. Clearly a local fav. Love the climbing vines outside. Great selection of drinks and alternative milks, sandwiches, pastries. Has a/c for the few weeks in summer. A few tables outside too.

Vegetarian options: Good selection of vegetarian/vegan options.

Love this cafe; for my wife and I, this is our go-to spot in Vancouver whenever we are in the city. Amazing coffee, service, breakfast, and atmosphere every single time we have been here. Would 100% recommend.

Cute location, good baked goods, good coffee. A bit expensive as all coffee shops are nowadays, so I get it. Only criticism is that my friend’s chai latte was very clove heavy, threw the flavour off, made my tongue numb, neither of us could drink it. Not sure if that was a one-off or the recipe but something to note. Otherwise a great place!
