There’s a new Korean-Japanese restaurant on Davie Street with a simple and focused menu. They prepare their sushi and inari fresh in the kitchen, sticking to straightforward options like salmon, shrimp, beef, crab, and egg. The idea is easy but the execution is clean, and their packaging and design really make them stand out. One thing I like is how they handle inventory. From 8 pm to 10 pm they discount whatever is left by 20% and reset everything the next day. It’s efficient and gives customers a good deal late in the evening. Overall I enjoy their concept and think they bring healthy competition to Davie Street, especially for places like Sushi Society.

We stopped by around 6:30pm for a quick bite recently and picked 8 total. The case was already quite empty, despite their hours listed as open until 10pm. The first one we ordered was the unagi, and while we asked the staff member for two pieces several times, somehow she still only gave us one. Clearly, the inari had been sitting in the case for a while, as the some of the rice was hard and unpalatable. The Aburi salmon was good though, and I do appreciate the generous size of each one. Perhaps coming for lunch is the way to go, as hopefully the inari would be more fresh, and there would be more options available.

Amazing… I cannot find this fantastic Inari sushi even in Korea. I asked the staff to recommend the best menu, and he kindly assist me. There are salmon, eel, crab, tuna and many kinds of sushi. They are all the same price and it is the charming point.

The inari sushi was tasty!! The spicy tuna was not spicy at all, but it was tasty. Even though it’s not a sit down restaurant they still came around to give us water which was very nice. The price is also quite reasonable. They had two kisosks to order. The store is fairly small but there’s a bit of outdoor seating too.
