We were very excited to get the beef back ribs with cheese and half & half chicken (yangnyeom + soy garlic), but we had to throw it all out. Waste of $50 (super overpriced). Both dishes tasted bad, but the beef in particular was just inedible. No salt, no flavour, and even the meat tasted spoiled. The cheese wasn't melted. Moreover, when we walked into the restaurant to pick up the order, it was very dirty and the tables were sticky. No idea how this place has 4.2 stars.
Pretty good Korean fried chicken spot. The ribs were tasty but lacking on meat. We ordered the classic chicken and every sauce that they had. The service was excellent and friendly.
Got the ribs with cheese and half & half chicken. Thought I could get half ribs and half chicken, but it’s one or the other. The ribs had that nice bbq-smokey flavour to it. The garlic soy didn’t have much of that “garlic soy” flavour, that you get at other restaurants, but the yangnyeom flavoured chicken was delicious (more on the sweet side)Keep in mind rice doesn’t come with it! Cost $2 per rice bowl.Service was slightly slow and likely due to catching up with online orders.
Ordered from this location multiple times in the past and enjoyed various rib and chicken menu items.Ordered original chicken family size. I arrived within 2 minutes of the pickup window and drove home which is another 10 minutes. The top of the container's chicken and fries was cool and the bottom of the container was cold. Took a Thermapen reading and it showed 102 degrees for the chicken on top. In the past the chicken would remain hot even after 20 minutes of getting home and eating most of the container.Called the restaurant and while the server was polite, they did not accept any accountability. They said each order is made fresh. However, there is no way for this product to drop 70 degrees in 15 minutes. It is pretty clear the order was sitting for quite some time.Offered 10% discount on next order. Will not be ordering here again.UPDATE: July 9, 2022 - Reached out to them per their reply in the review, no response after a week.
Please be warned! Unless you are a total chili lover, avoid the spicy yangnaom chicken. We used to order the sweet and hot chicken which was great, but this new offering was inedible for us. When I called to let the restaurant know, they refused to help in any way. Guess we won’t be ordering from them again :(
In general, this restaurant have a good amount of variety of Korean food. They have good prices for students and for anyone who crying inside ur wallet ;). Plus they open pretty late, we had a craved Korean food almost at 10 pm and they still welcomed us. The restaurant is really close to 1st Ave market, and right at the bus stop 16. It will be a good choice if u want to order it home cuz they doesn’t have a large space to eat in. I recommend the spicy grilled pork chop rice bowl - it was tasty! ?
If there was zero stars that would be it. If you are planning to order for the family or yourself for that matter; DON'T!!! DON'T!!!I thought it was kinda strange when I went in to pickup our order , ALL those stars and the place is almost empty only 2 guys at a table. Our order was the only one for pickup. So they had plenty of time to make sure the order is correct and what we ordered. One of the items seafood tofo hot pot. They forgot the rice.( like ordering a sandwich and they forgot the bread) had to drive all the way back to pickup rice.40 mins later we sit down to eat a cold dinner.Should have checked everything else earlier, who would have thought anyone could be so incompetent to mess up more.Bibimbap; they forgot the sauce.Grilled pork chop rice;Raw cabbage hard, didn't soften with the rice.Chicken terimayo rice bowl. Was not as discribed or shown on website, No seaweed flakes(would have probably help get rid of that sick feeling of eating a big spoon of mayo)terimayo was more like mayo, Maybe they ran out of teri. Hey that would explain why bibimbap didn't get sauce ?Called the restaurant to address these issues. The guy on the phone was rude and told me they have never put seaweed flakeson the Terimayo chicken bowl as shown and to put my complaints on the webpage. If I could attach the recording I would. Will probably never support a business that does not strive to improve. He didn't want to talk to me or hear the feedback. There are so many other restaurants that sell Korean style chicken and ribs.
I had really great experience ordering from here before. However, this time was different. So, it makes me feel like losing one of my favorite chicken place. Beef stew was disappointing. It just did not taste right. After a while, oil became solid and it did not look appetizing anymore. Chicken was okay but so many rubbery parts in the checken meat. And the spicy sweet sauce tastes like Chinese herbal medicine. I think the chef was changed or something.
The exterior building is pretty ugly but the interior and the fried chicken are worth the visit! As the name sake suggests, the chicken is moist, and crunchy delicious! (Fries felt like a nice bonus) they also serve Korean sides and soups!
Ordered Half & Half Fried Chicken through Uber Eats for $28.75 before taxes, fees, and tip. Soy Garlic was disappointing. Even thought they sprinkled red pepper flakes, it was too oily. Sweet and Spicy (Yang Nyum) Chicken was great and I enjoyed its flavour. They also added a few pieces of French fries and a small container of pickled radish that went well with fried food. Will try other menu items and update my review later.

Changing my initial review. Messed up my order followed by giving me an old order of cold fried chicken. When confronted about this, absolutely nothing was done.
Excellent customer service and the food was far beyond any expectations I had. My friend and I shared the beef back ribs w/cheese and the tofu seafood bowl. The ribs were fall off the bone perfect. Definitely a new favorite!
Ordered half and half for first time (takeout). Chicken was chewy and rubbery, yangyeom sauce tasted weird. Not crispy and tasty.
Our party ordered Trio chicken with soy garlic, yeongnam and spicy yeongnam. I have to say spicy yeongnam is very spicy. If soy garlic is 0 and yeongnam is 3, I’ll say spicy yeongnam is a well deserved 8. I believe it’s all chicken thigh bits, very juicy with skin wrap around the meat before deep fried and sauced. Also the fries are very crunchy and well prepared. The kimchi beef bone hot pot is very good as well. Meat that off the bone and the bone are soft and chewable. The cabbage and soup are very flavorful which goes well with the bowl of rice the set comes with.I’ve also tried their steam egg soup, which was on the house and very well made. Tender yet still boiling when serve. It’s a mend to the soul in cold rainy weather. I’m not sure how they make it but it comes tender and turn foamy when it’s left for too long, which I find extremely interesting. Our party dine in and the server was attentive and patient. Her service was exceptional and flawless that made our dining experience just that much better. One thing I’ll try next time are their dipping sauce. The server gave us one to try which is not on the menu yet. The flavor reaction among the sauces really well compliment each other. I’m rather impress.Definitely I’ll come again.
