Standard quick lunch combo. Servers are always friendly. Self serve tea with lunch combo #1.

Had beef teriyaki. It’s a strange combination of extreme sweetness and extreme saltiness. I felt so terrible to put such things into my mouth.

Disappointing takeout. Ordered the assorted sushi combo that’s supposed to be maki’s and 7 assorted nigiri’s only but got 4 nigiri (2 salmon & 2 tuna) and rolls with cooked chicken and tempura. Wanted a sashimi fix but got mostly cooked food.

I just popped in because I was in the neighborhood. The nigiri was good, but the spicy tuna roll was terrible. First, there was very little tuna. The roll itself was small. But most importantly it was coated or saturated in some kind of sweet red sauce. I’ve never had a spicy tuna roll like this before.

I was hopeful for good food here since there were lots of people and good reviews, but I was disappointed. A tempura udon with California rolls was $20 which is the same price as a sit down restaurant (this spot was self serve). The food took a long time to arrive even though I only got 2 items. California rolls were tiny and didn't taste fresh. Udon was extremely plain, literally tasted like noodles in water. I added soy sauce to it to be able to eat it. Tempura was small and tasted like really old frying oil. I was disappointed that their menu outside listed tempura udon as having 4 pieces, but they changed their menu inside and only gave 3 -- it's quite deceitful. I won't be coming back here.

Do NOT come here. You will regret it. The meal costs the same as other places with half the quality. They lied on their outside menu and decreased the amount on the inside menu. The avocado is old. The seaweed is not good. The size is disappointing. The price is high. There are too few people working here for the number of customers and their service beeper doesn't work. All the other reviews are incorrect. Their tempura Udon tastes quite weak. This is actually the worst sushi place I've tried so far and I've lived in Vancouver my whole life. Their puzzle on the wall is missing a piece...

This place is literally a hole in the wall and is below the sidewalk. This place is easy to miss. I’ve been wanting to try some downtown sushi for awhile and this spot doesn’t disappoint. If you’re half deaf like I am, there will be a language barrier but be patient. I’m a huge fan of deep fried sushi and this place has the best one I’ve ever tried (Crazy California Roll) .

Sushi is ok, reasonably priced for downtown. I usually get one of the combos. Gets busy, but Service is very fast for dining in for work lunches. #contestentry

Came here for a quick sushi lunch on Friday. Friendly staff and the rolls were ok. The sushi roll combo with miso soup $14. Other combos range from $14-18.

If you want to have a quick lunch, and you're not looking too much service, then this is a good place to go. It's meant to be more self-served, such as pouring your own tea, and getting your own utensils.

Note that you have to walk down a flight of stairs to the restaurant in the basement. So if you aren't as mobile, then you might want to look for other options.
