I thought the price was a bit high at first, but the sandwich ended up being huge to the point of it being difficult to eat, so no complaints about how much food you get. I had to remove the arugula on top to eat separately before I could get at the rest of it. Ease of eating aside, I love arugula, so I was very happy with the amount. Taste-wise, it's solid, but not particularly special--nothing stood out to me. The bread got somewhat waterlogged by the meatballs/sauce. It...

I'm still thinking about the meatball hoagie! The toasted sesame bread alone won me over. The combination of arugula, sesame, cheese and meatballs was wonderful. And the portions are very generous, my partner and I shared a sandwich and soup.

Tried Say Hey for the first time on Feb 14, 2026 and it was phenomenal. The yam sandwich was perfection but the milk/white chocolate cookie (not pictured) was the star of the show. Best cookie in Vancouver hands down!! The service was so welcoming and kind and made the experience even better.
