“Food is gorgeous and delicious. This is city jewel for Shanghainese cuisine. It’s not as expensive as some Shanghai restaurants in town while quality of food is beyond expectation. Authentic Shanghainese cuisine as well as some spicy SiChuan dishes. Highly recommend - food!“

“Another good find if you're interested in Shanghai cuisine. The place is small and parking is limited. But the food is worth the visit. Every dish bursts with flavour especially the Shanghai-style braised pork belly, rich and tender, perfectly paired with the fried rice.
• Black Truffle Steam Dumplings
• Pan Fried Pork Bun
• Shanghai Boiled Chicken
• Shanghai Style Braised Pork Belly
• Shanghai Fried Rice
• Kaofu Gluten Salad
• Purple Potato Rice Cake with Black Sesame.“

“This Shanghai restaurant is really authentic. XLB were juicy, the duck very intense in flavors and the fish also yummy. Dandan mian were a bit too soft for our taste but amazing taste. Portions were huge so that we couldn’t finish everything but overall I would give this place a 4.5 stars ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
My most favorite fish were the Shanghai noodles 🤫“

“I went with my family today, the food was authentic and really impressed us. Even my elderly grandma said it reminded her of the food she ate when she grew up in Shanghai! The pan-fried dumplings were my personal favourite, juicy and the meat was tender. I would skip the cold wontons in peanut sauce.“

“Food tastes good in general, very crispy fried. The crab steamed buns are made with real crab. Each one I ate had crab shells in it. My friend and I enjoyed the food and she ordered an extra pan fried pork buns for take out.
However, they charged us 0.3 for takeout box and 0.3 for bag, but they didn’t give us the bag😅. They were too busy to make the buns and etc., since the first time they brought us the buns in a dish, then changed it to the box with no bags and immediately went to the kitchen to work on the food. The fee is only 0.3 but can affect the overall experience, maybe considering only charging the box in the future since it’s so easy to forget to bring bags.“

“Spent a few hours in the Crystal Mall on a Wednesday, and was so disappointed to see that Shanghai Dim Sum was closed for the day, my favorite XLB shop.Oh well, we ate some other delicious things, the standout was the shengjian bao, pan fried pork buns from Shanghai Fortune Cuisine. It was lined up and everyone in the rooms seemed to be eating them.Wow, they were good. Crispy on the bottom, tender on top, full of soup and pork. Delicious. Staff is friendly too!I think I found a new favorite.“

“Shanghai Dimsum House on the 2nd level foodcourt inside Crystal Mall is a nice option for pork soup dumplings (aka xlb) and other Shangahinese food. Remember: CASH ONLY. The food does take a few minutes to be prepared so don't expect anything instantly. They will give you a beeper to alert you when your steamed pork dumplings are nice and ready. I got Combo A for $12.75. It came with 5 steamed dumplings and a soup with vermicelli and puffed tofu.
Its hard to give any food stall inside Crystal Mall 5 stars because the cleanliness is questionable everywhere. Anyway, portions at Shanghai Dimsum House were huge! I would recommend and would return.“

“Juuuicy dumplings! Both Xaiolongbao (小籠包) and pan fried pork bun (生煎包) had so much juice inside, almost impossible not to leak on yourself…..
Also tried dandan (担々麺) and Shanghai noodle (上海粗炒面) and both were very good.
Not exactly gourmet but solid satisfying supper! Small eatery in London drug plaza near Kingsway. Plenty of free parking spots. Popular at dinner time with often a lineup. Don’t take reservations. Cash only.“
