This is what I ordered: All you can eat ($58) This is what we get from the AYCE package: Soup base Unlimited Appetizer (including ramen eggs, tako wasabi, kimchi, some salad, etc) Sashimi (salmon, hokkigai, hamachi ) (one each) Unlimited sushi (Salmon Aburi, Ebi Aburi, Ka Gyuu Roll) Unlimited Agemono (Chicken Karaage, Takoyaki, Gyoza) Unlimited Meat (Angus Beef Short Plate, Beef Chuck Eye Roll, Premium Pork Belly) Unlimited Drinks Dessert: Matcha Ice Cream Sesame Ice Cream Caramel pudding Kinako Ice cream Tofu pudding with strawberry jam Matcha Tiramisu Shin Ka Gyuu is an all you can eat Japanese sukiyaki restaurant located at West Broadway. I went during the $20 off promotion so the option I got was for the $78 menu. I got the Sukiyaki based soup, and I found that the sauce had some metalic taste() not too sure. Of course, we had to try every and each item in the list :P. I think the best appetizer was the tako wasabi, even though I am not a fan of wasabi, but it taste similar to the one at other places. The sashimi and sushi were okay, the sashimi were fresh. Among the items in Agemono section, the karaage was the highlight, even though they used some Chinese pepper seasoning, but it was pretty good. Lastly, for the dessert, the tiramisu was the best, even though it was watery. The kinako ice cream was horrible, the kinako made my throat hurt, the tofu pudding was also not pleasant. The rest are pretty standard. Lastly, for the drinks I had milk tea, it taste very similar to Kirin bottled milk tea, but more watered down and sweet. I think overall it is a good place for all you can eat, but do not expect too much for the quality. Ps. They have promotion quite often so check out their instagram page!

Terrible place. Very limited options in terms of menu. Out of the 4 soups they had only had 2. We asked for the tomato broth they said they ran out and only had miso and sukiyaki based soup. How can a place that charges $98/person not have 2 out of the 4 soups available?? They don't have the $78 menu anymore. Only a $58 and $98 plus they don't offer any more sashimi. We ended up leaving. Definitely will not go back again or recommend.

I think going there on a weekend was my mistake. We couldn't find parking, the place was noisy, food didn't come for over 1/2 hour, and the place was short staff, and they ran out of pretty much everything. Our previous experience was much more pleasant.

I've been there a while ago when they still had the $78 menu. Come back this time and realize the only choice if you want wagyu beef is $98. Not many options to choose from the menu and not to mention that most of them are not available. We were told that no tomato soup base today which make us a bit disappointed since they only have 4 soup based options and tomato is the only soup base that we want. Later on, when we ordered our food, there were many other things that they don't have too. Also, sashimi is not fresh. This is totally not worth paying $98.

This place has really gone down hill. Myself and a friend opted for the 98 dollar menu. First off, it took 25 minutes to get the soup bases delivered. Everything we ordered came at half the requested amount, or not at all. The chicken karaage took half an hour to arrive, and it was two cold, small pieces. When I asked if the rest of the order was coming- to avoid double ordering- the server said she would go check, but never returned. It took 10-20 minutes to get a drink from the bar- just soda and tea, nothing mixed. The capper was one server bringing over the debit machine for payment before we even finished eating. Then, the desserts came out before our last order of sushi did.Lots if staff on hand, but most just walking around in circles. I had high hopes, but was seriously dissatisfied. Will not return.

There's a lot to say about our first visit: -there's a lot of staff running around and hustling but they're very slow and inefficient (they're spending time carefully pouring little sesame bits into soy sauce trays when there's more to do). -for some reason only staff can pour you soy sauce for sashimi. Which means we have to get someone just for more sauce -staff are mostly new and only a few people who can do anything. Most of the staff are there to drop off plates and orders and don't know anything about how things work. They have to continuously get the main waitress. During my two hours stay here I've only seen 2 people who are able to take orders. Regardless we had to ask for the same things at least twice. -aburi sushi has too much mayo on top -they dropped off less than half of what we ordered. Even when we remind them the second time, they didn't give us the right portion -seat settings are not complete -this is a shabushabu place and we had to ASK for spoons. The spoons they gave us were all chipped. We flagged someone for more spoons and they said "all of our spoons are chipped". We had to literally dig around ourselves -tako wasabi did not come on first appetizer round, so we flagged them to bring it. It didn't taste like tako wasabi and didn't taste good at all. I would recommend avoiding this -bathroom trash was not kept clean... Trash was literally spilling out of the trash bins for more than one stall -all you can eat veggie bar was not stocked. Very limited. They're supposed to also offer rice and udon at the bar and they were not available. Only upon request. -the karai soup base is not good. Don't order lol pretty much your best bet is the sukiyaki -kinako ice cream should been soy bean but the waitress literally said it was vanilla and it was...... with cornflakes on it -caramel pudding was like... barely anything. Look at the picture. It was two spoonfuls at best We came for dine out ($58) and were at the very least glad we didn't have to pay ($78) for original price. It felt like a $25 restaurant at best. We wanted to do dine out because we thought it would be a special menu. The menu showed choices between different options, and it was actually an "all of the above". Which should've been amazing but it was just a discounted version of what they already offer.

Came here for Dine Out. I guess with any AYCE joint, it's more about "eating your money's worth" than the quality of the food. If I could sum up the food in one word, it would be "meh". The AYCE selection is certainly not the largest that I've seen, but it has enough of a range to satisfy everyone's needs. The items are hit and miss though. Some of the appetizers were pretty dismal (like the Costco seaweed salad is better than the one they served here) and the panna cotta? It was so disgusting, I had to wash it down with my milk tea. Service is not the best, but pretty typical for a Chinese staffed establishment. They clear your empty plates pretty fast and the food arrives quickly, but don't expect anyone to go above and beyond that. They have a small parking lot, but if that's full, good luck finding parking due to roadwork out front. There's some free parking available a few blocks away if you don't mind the walk.

We went during the dine out Vancouver. When we entered the ambiance was lovely but then when we saw that the waitresses were wearing what looked like maid uniforms we were all immediately questioning why the women waitresses had to wear maid-like uniforms (there were 5 of us. 3 women and 2 men) The men waiters wore black pants and a dress shirt. The women should be able to wear just pants and dress shirt or blouse as well. We probably will not go back there just because of that. The sushi (aburi) was good and the rest was mediocre/average for the price. Service was slow that night as well. Please remember that we are in the year 2022 and equality between men and women is moving forward not backwards. Peace and love ❤️

We ordered 4 dine out menu and they served only 3 Wagyu Beef which is the most expensive item. We didn't know until we saw the phone again. Waitress was serving OK but she was not attentive and the helpers weren't very helpful.

One of my fave places to go to! Always a good time and satisfying. It was pretty busy and service was a bit slow cause didn't seem like enough staff on the floor but they tried to be as accommodating as possible and pleasant!

Had a reservation for 6 people at 8pm. They didn't seat us until 903pm. They closed at 10. So we had an hour to rush for a friends 50th. Also, they had no beer. They let us stay but it wasn't relaxing knowing we were past their closing time. Staff was great. Food was fantastic.
