Worth the wait !!!
Maybe is Mrs just be but the food here will never make it into the mainstream. Food can be described with 3 words:
Sweet, sour, spicy.
Everything tasted off
Even the chicken wings had some weird batter on it where I didn’t know if it was deep fried, air fried or baked.
$8 dollars for nan bread with curry sauce where it was a few pieces of Nan bread with watery green curry sauce ( very small amount)
Felt ripped off after I left.

Our meal was fantastic. Lots of attention to detail with regard to ingredients and wok technique. Love the little touches like green peppercorns, finely grated kaffir lime leaves, crispy fried diced garlic. Absolutely delicious!
We been to Silom twice and we are truly pleased with their services, great atmosphere and the food was so delicious and authentically Thai. We orderd Pad Thai, Grilled Pork Jowl, and the papaya salad with sticky rice. It brought such satisfying memories of home. We highly recommend Silom Thai Cuisine. We will surely return for more.

Don’t let the area and the exterior of this restaurant deceive you. We almost didn’t go in after seeing only one couple inside.
So glad we went it. The server was super friendly and the food was just as good. We told him that I can’t eat spicy food and he said that they can add the spicy sauce on the side.
Started with the Roti with Curry Sauce. Roti was good and very flaky. My wife loved the green curry sauce.
Deep Fried Chicken Knuckles are what some restaurants call Chicken Knees. It had a good crunch and seasoned nicely. Tasted really good without the Sriracha Sauce. Not that I was going to try it with the sriracha. 😂 Again. My wife loved the sauce and that’s all that matters. 🤣
If you’re a non spicy person like me, this is the dish to get. Grilled Pork Jowl. Marinated to perfection and the dipping sauce was amazing. 😋😋 I would definitely order this dish again.
We had four dishes and it was perfect for just the two of us. We will definitely be back to try their other dishes. ⭐️👍👏🙌

I had food from this place two days in a row
one time at the restaurant and another through Uber Eats. Everything was so good! The Pad Thai and basil stir-fry were super tasty and really authentic. Definitely my go-to Thai spot !!

The food here is really good, very flavorful. We enjoyed the pad thai and the fried chicken. Service is always great! Great to see little places like this doing well, we have been a few times already and will continue to come back.

I’ve been looking high and low and maybe I’ve found my fav Thai spot in Vancouver.
Silom Thai doesn’t care about your Instagram. No jungle-themed wallpaper, glowing IG worthy neon walls, no angel wings to pose your pouty face, no Buddha statues collecting dust in the corner. Just a tight, modest room off Knight Street, humming with the kind of quiet confidence that only comes from doing one thing really well. As you know, once you get past the location, bricks, mortar, and initial wow-factors, a restaurant is all about the food and how it makes you feel.
The food? It hits different here. Forget the watered-down, coconut-milk-heavy stuff most Thai joints in North America sling as authenticity. Silom goes straight for the throat—in the best way possible. The flavors are bold, unapologetic. Spice that wakes you up. Funky fermented notes that hang around just long enough to remind you: this isn’t Westernized. It’s not trying to be polite. It’s trying to be REAL.
Curries here don’t coddle you with sweetness. The chili hits first, layered with depth—garlic, fish sauce, the tang of tamarind—and yes, lemongrass, but not the perfumed kind that smells like a candle shop. This is Thai food how it should be: loud, spicy, alive.
This isn’t fusion. It’s not trying to translate CONFusion of placating the western tongue. It’s a love letter to Bangkok—written in chili paste and eaten with sweat on your brow - feel it pool and drip while you suckle in the last drops of luscious goodness.
Silom Thai doesn’t just serve Thai food. It serves Thailand — no filter, no fluff. If that’s what you’re hungry for, pull up a chair.

Please never get rid of your Thai tea slush! It's so good!!!
What a happy accidental discovery this place is! We came here for Thanksgiving when white spot across the street had a 45 min wait...got seated right away.
Everything we tried was delicious. Thai fried rice, crispy chicken (so crispy and the sauce was phenomenal), pad seew (just like the ones I had in Thailand), Tom Kah gai was so creamy and tasty.
Place is small but the tables are spacious enough that you don't feel cramped while dining even with lots of dishes on the table. It has that small ma and pa restaurant feel to it similar to lots of small local restaurants in Thailand.
Service...there seemed to be only 2 servers that night on a very busy night but we were never left waiting around for long. Our server also had pretty good attention to detail which we really appreciated. Made sure our kid's pad seew wasn't spicy eventhough we forgot to ask!
Thank you for going above and beyond♡
Looking forward to coming back! Definitely an instant favorite 😍 💕 🤤

Place is way too cramped. The noodle dish was good, but the appetizer platter was just average - springroll was tough on the outside. The Thai ice tea was just weird.

Consistently high quality, and truly authentic recipes. When they say spicy, they mean Thai spicy, not Canadian spicy.
Shout out to our server - he remembers us after only 3 visits.

Been on a Thai restaurant crave lately.
This restaurant is extremely small but not crowded at all which was nice.
Food was really good except I have one complain the dishes are on the sweeter side. The pad see ew was on the sweeter side needed a bit of citrus. The lady at thr front gave us this sauce that paired really good with it.
Overall very good will be back.
