If you like trying different styles of food this a good place to do it. I went with a group of friends, they all really liked it. I had the ribs and they were good. Good service. Adding pictures to the menu would be a nice addition.

The food is exceptionally terrible, felt like no effort was put into the cooking! When we complained, the owner told us that “this is a different region”. Well, if you are advertising your restaurant as East African, shouldn’t the meals bring a taste of East Africa!!! Wouldn’t recommend at all. We drove for 40 mins across town btw!

Delicious food, very kind host, the cassava was sooo good and the mango hot sauce was the perfect blend of spicy and sweet. Can't wait to eat here again.

We had a wonderful experience celebrating my dad's 85th birthday with 30+ people at Simba's Burnaby. The food, service and decor was amazing! Kurshid and his staff went above and beyond to accommodate our large group. I would highly recommend Simba's restaurant to all! And the lamb shish kebab shouldn't be missed!

So glad that I found this hidden gem on the recommendation of a friend.
The food is simply delicious!! The four of us tried the platter this time, and it has a bit of everything: beef, lamb, chicken, and fish, plus a big serving of rice.
Everything is so flavourful, and the extra spices just made everything even better. Highly recommend the mango spice and the spinach, they made everything taste even more complex.
The fries, Cassava, and the mango lassi are worth a try as well. The food portion is huge for the price you pay, which is more than reasonable to begin with.
Honestly I don’t think I can even choose a favorite; just thinking back on the meal has me salivating again. Can’t wait to come back and try the curry dishes too!

Nice warm place, the staff is very friendly and the food very good. The fried casava was delicious (the way we do it in Colombia).

Easy to find tables for lunch on week days. Food quality has been consistent. Have always enjoyed the lamb kebab, fried fish and curry.
Just a hype ..we drove 50 mins across the city ,to get there before it closed, the food was cold and the grilled mishkaki(beef skewers) were tough and totally chewy!! What a waste of time and money

Been a loyal customer for over a decade. We come here at least once a month. Food is always great and taste is consistently amazing!
We recently ordered from Simbas grill, and what an absolute treat it was! From start to finish, the food impressed with its freshness and bold flavors.
For the little ones, the Kuko Chuma was a perfect choice—tender, flavorful, and kid-approved. The Chicken Kababs with Fries were a standout, featuring juicy, well-seasoned kababs paired with crispy, golden fries that hit just the right level of crunch. Simba’s Chicken was the star of the dinner tonight. Every bite was packed with quality and freshness, making the meal thoroughly enjoyable. If you're craving a satisfying and well-prepared dishes, Simbas Grill delivers in every way. Highly recommended! They also deliver through Uber eats!!
