Sun Fresh Bakery in Vancouver's Chinatown is a popular spot for affordable and tasty Chinese pastries, dim sum, and congee. Customers praise the fresh ingredients, friendly service, and the nostalgic taste of their food, which is often compared to what their parents or grandparents would make.

It's worth noting that Sun Fresh Bakery is primarily a cash-only establishment.

Will order everything again EXCEPT for the sticky rice - which has a FUnky cooking oil rancid smell. Otherwise, all good 👍

DELICIOUS fresh sweet savory huge selection very very generous portions and a variety of flavors out of this world. We stopped in to just see what breads they had and ended up with Bau Buns, desserts, custards, breads, Hot handmade noodle dishes…. Fed our entire family of six for an extremely reasonable price. We will likely make this a daily morning stop our entire time in Vancouver!!

Sun Fresh Bakery in Chinatown is my favorite Asian bakery in Vancouver! Their custard pineapple bun and deep-fried pork dumplings are absolute must-tries. If you haven’t yet, don’t miss the pork and mustard steamed bun—so delicious! Yumm!

i love this spot for delicious bao’s and dimsum. everything is tasty and cheap.

If you love dim sum and pastries like mom or grandma used to make, this is the place to go. You can even see the staff making tasty dumplings in the back. All their food is takeout.

- fresh ingredients and tasty food that has customers lining out the door. My favourite is the salted deep fried dumpling and pan fried bun. Great value for your money and a fairly decent portion or size.

great and friendly service. You need to pay cash if you buy something less than $5.

- clean and tidy place

I can’t wait to come back and try more tasty treats.

Decided to stop in for a quick bite, saw the huge manapua (bbq pork bun) had to try it out. It tasted great and was a meal itself. They have so many choices. Definitely worth checking out.

Authentic Cantonese-style dimsum. Delicious and fair-priced. Pick, lineup to order and pay. Staffs are blunt but actually friendly and helpful. No dine-in. Public pay-parking available next block.

Hands down best steamed buns in Vancouver. The staff are always friendly also. One of my favorite places to go.
