I really like the options of quick hkstyle snacks (and wallet friendly!) you can get here. Add to that all the different pastries why wouldn't you go here? Get some.

Stumbled upon an unassuming bakery in Vancouver’s Chinatown today. To my surprise, everything from the bread to the bao and dim sum was extra-large—unlike anything I’ve seen before. While the taste wasn’t mind-blowing, the prices were very reasonable. I'll definitely be back

I was in the 'hood and decided on this 1 of 3 old bakeries in Chinatown. Got there too early at 9 am (opens at 7:30) on a weekday and only a few items were available. Lots of pickup drivers coming here. Their $2.50 sweet Chinese donut (picture) are the best and it's hard to finish the whole thing. They have some dim sum and the baked BBQ pork buns are only $2.45 but there's less pork compared to New Town. Paid $15 for my 7 pieces (between $2-$2.50). Low-priced compared to New Town because it's a smaller store. They accept USD/CAD, credit/debit and I've seen people buying $100 at a time. Friendly but not much English spoken. I always leave 0.50 in the tip jar.
Parking: Free metered parking before 9 am.

I bought a bun from here... it was 99% bread 1% filling. I literally had to go back in time to science gr10 and borrow a microscope to locate the custard particle. This was also the same for their sausage bun and sesame bun. That's WILD...

Great food for an incredible price :) I got 2 BBQ pork buns (freshly steamed and huge), bamboo wrapped rice, and 3 black sesame buns for just 18 CAD. You can see everyone making the food as you’re shopping and can see that everything is made from scratch each day. I’ve also been to this place at closing time and 95%+ of the baked goods are sold out / cleaned out.
Definitely worth a visit if you’re in Chinatown!

The cashier has really bad attitude. Sometimes they have hot buns but sometimes cold from yesterday and the cashier does not have any patience at all to tell you which one is hot vs cold. Very rude cashier
