Foods are fresh and cheap. The udon is tasty and big, sashimi cuts are so huge. We visit Vancouver for 4 days and we came here twice.

Poor service - slow to take order, didn't bring tea when asked for, the restaurant wasn't busy. requested to hold out certain ingredients in sushi rolls but did not. One sushi roll was just horribly wet and soggy.

We live nearby Nanaimo Sushi so we get it occasionally. It's pretty good. Staff are pleasant. Food is fresh - I always like the nigiri.I generally love Dynamite rolls. They really need to work on theirs. So much of the crab/fish and only a tiny bit of ebi. Hopefully they fix! Will go back.

Salmon smelled fishy, Inari smelled like alcohol. Very messy looking sushi. Wouldn’t recommend.

‘Nanaimo Sushi’ has been a fixture in this neighborhood for a few years. When they first opened, it was amazing, and held a traditional Japanese take on hospitality, food, service, and decor. I have seen staff changes, the friendliness dissipate, and I can only guess that they have been sold. The quality of food, and the attention to detail, has hit a low point, and the usual snappy service, and team outlook, has lessened to a point of just a storefront. Sad to see such an institution, so close to our home and hearts, hit this level. Two very big thumbs down ?.

I really love this sushi spot! Super nice staff. Quick service. Great food and very reasonably priced.Vegetarian options: Probably one of the best sushi spots with vegetarian options.Dietary restrictions: So many vegetarian options and a very knowledgeable staff.Parking: No parking, which is totally fine because it’s walkable. For folks who are driving to dine in you will need to park a ways away and walk. For folks who are driving to pick up you might be able to double park or pull onto the alley briefly.Kid-friendliness: I wouldn’t host a birthday party here, but there’s plenty of space and kid friendly menu items to take the family out for dinner or order in.

This is the first time ever I ordered from this restaurant. The fish is fresh and the decoration is outstanding. I’ll definitely pay a visit to the restaurant later. Worth every penny!

The food is pretty inconsistent. The sashimi can often be low quality, old, or not properly deboned.I recently did a telephone order. They said it would take half an hour but it took them an hour. So I had to wait half an hour. They were not apologetic nor did they offer anything for the time I lost. It upset our baby’s bedtime routine.Bad service.
