Should be higher rated. Really nice place, huge with a ton of rooms, and pretty good song selection.

This place is top notch! We had a group of 20+ and were well taken care of. Great beer selection to boot.

We still had time left, but all of our remaining songs were canceled without any notice.
When we asked about it at the front desk, they responded with, “So what do you want?” — which was quite shocking.
Overall, the service was disappointing.

It left a bad taste in my mouth when after payment, the worker at the front demanded a bag check but only for select members in my group. It felt discriminatory, why are you only asking specific people for a bag check?

When food and drink were found in my bag, she insisted I hand it to her to throw out. I am at karaoke to sing, not eat. The food and drink were for a picnic after, I didn’t realize this was airport security. I proposed leaving it with her if that was truly an issue, but she refused. Even clothing stores have a table where you can leave and retrieve your drinks. To clarify, I’m not even of age, it was non alcoholic and closed lid.

Furthermore, the $5 additional charge was not explained to us. I worked a service job for 2 years and I am astounded by how absurdly she treated us. In contrast, the other worker was very pleasant :)

Our go-to for karaoke place! There could definitely be a larger library of English songs, and the remote system could be a clearer, but it’s always a good time and the staff is wonderful.

Had my partner’s birthday here for the second year in a row, and after an OK experience last year we were very “meh” on this year.

First of all, their auto 18% gratuity is scammy. When we asked for clarification beforehand, we were told “it’s a service and cleaning fee” and that “our server comes to the room”. The server came in twice in 3 hours… both times only to remind us how much time we had left (a 15 minute warning and a last song warning), never to serve or bring drinks. I’d also argue there shouldn’t be an extra “cleaning fee” when you’re paying $145/h for a room. Brutal.

Even though I went to the bar to get my own drinks, I don’t think the beers were right once; I was served a lager that tasted like an IPA, and a pilsner that tasted like a pale ale. I went back after the first and they assured me it was right. Maybe the kegs are mislabelled?

Lastly, they boast “over 200,000 songs” on the sign outside. I’m guessing we must not be the target audience because the English song list was dismal. Pretty glaring omissions of artists altogether, misprints (my favourite was ‘Sherly Crow’ but I’m sure there are more), or artists that featured deep cuts or errors but no hit singles.

All in all, we won’t be back—I’m sure there are better spots for karaoke in Van.

I booked a karaoke room for my birthday at 4 PM, but no one told me the kitchen only opens at 6 PM. My guests and I were left hungry for two hours with barely any snacks, even though I called twice to ask if I could bring my own food — and was told no. This completely ruined my celebration. Very disappointed with the lack of communication and flexibility. I wouldn’t recommend this place for an early booking or special event.

Karaoke + Cocktails = Perfect Night 🎶🍸
Came here with a group of friends and we had so much fun. The rooms are clean, well-equipped, and the vibes are top-tier. Drinks were surprisingly good for a karaoke place — the bartenders know what they’re doing. We sang everything from Queen to K-pop. It gets busy on weekends, so book ahead. Highly recommend if you’re looking for something different in downtown Van.

Vancouver’s Hidden Karaoke Gem 🎤🔥
Had such a blast at SWITCH! The interior is sleek and stylish — feels more like a lounge than a typical karaoke spot. Great drink selection, solid sound system, and the private rooms are perfect for a fun night with friends. The staff were super helpful setting us up, and we ended up staying way longer than planned. Definitely coming back for another sing-off night!

Been here twice and didn’t have a great time either time. They need more updated songs and an easier way to find songs. No chappell roan in 2025 is a crime.

Everything is overpriced with pretty bad frozen food and no service. I wouldn't recommend.

Pretty fun time. The lights were extremely intense, it would be nice to have an option to turn them down instead of fully off. The song list was truly disappointing. The rooms feel very much like jail cells, perhaps add some soft furnishings. Food is basically frozen stuff warmed in a convection oven.

Place is very good and beautiful. Several room sizes and karaoke has awesome catalogue with different languages (chinese, japanese, …)

It is a bit pricey in my opinion.
