Our favourite place to stay in Vancouver; time and time again. Location is fantastic, very friendly and accommodating. Great bar and restaurant too.
AWESOME SPOT......BORN IN VANCOUVER..... MY HOME, NOT THE HOTEL !

Came here to the restaurant to celebrate a company event and I thought the meal was decent! For the starter we got the seafood chowder, streak as the main and a chocolate mousse for dessert.

Hot and cold, literally. First time, the brunch was excellent! Even though we were a large group (with reservations), service was prompt, professional and friendly while the food was hot and delicious (great hollandaise).
Second time, sat in the lounge. Mistake? Service was slow, food was tepid at best and not particularly tasty. Odd prime rib hash – tough chunks of beef over refried potato wedges? But the eggs were still good. Also, no one checked about our meal satisfaction until much too late.
So five stars with one star averages three stars?

Great little hotel, has everything you need, fantastic location on English Bay. Breakfast is a little slow and the service was lacking
Love the fish and chips!

Even though we live on the North Shore we have always loved this historic and charming hotel on English Bay. Recently, we felt the need for a nostalgic two day stay and it did not disappoint. We enjoyed our updated view corner suite with views of the bay, meals in the renovated restaurant and cocktail bar, and strolls along Stanley Parks sea wall. We will be back...

We really enjoyed our Grey Cup game day brunch at the Sylvia Hotel Resturant. Our sever was friendly and generous with her time. We will do this again in the future

Excellent experience for the price. Paid $220CAD total (including taxes and fees) for a Saturday night stay with my wife. Fantastic walkable location, excellent & friendly service from the front staff to the housekeeping dept, charming details inside, and most importantly a very clean room. Is this the Fairmont? Nope. But for the price it cannot be beat. We'll be back.

The location was top-notch! It had wonderful vintage vibes throughout. The restaurant featured an incredible view of English Bay—though the menu looked amazing, we unfortunately didn't have time to eat there. The room was spotlessly clean and we felt completely safe. The staff were so friendly and helpful—especially Katie B, who was wonderful to deal with. We are already planning our next trip to explore the beautiful surrounding area more.

Great location. A very well kept Heritage Hotel on English Bay with beaches across the street. We always enjoy the restraunt and lounge. The Stanley Park Seawall walk starts across the street. Highly recommend this location

The best hotel if you're staying by Stanley Park. Very convenient for public transportation. Great food and service. We'll be back!
Nearby activities: Steps away from the Stanley Park seawall.
