I’ve ordered the beef samosas (2 pcs) from Tashkent when they were still a cloud kitchen near my workplace, and they were absolutely addictive—super tasty and easily the highlight.
The Borscht soup and Uzbek plov were decent, but I felt the portions didn’t quite justify the price. The beef samosas were also a bit pricey, despite being very good.
Now that they’ve moved to a mall with a physical storefront, I’m hopeful they’ll improve the pricing while serving their tasty food to more customers.
Great Uzbek food! Delicious plov, salads, and of course a traditional Uzbek bread. 10/10. The type of cuisine that’s missing in Vancouver! Go try it:)

Tashkent is a hidden gem tucked away in a quiet food court, serving affordable Uzbek food, which is quite rare in Vancouver. I haven't tried Uzbek food elsewhere, so I can't comment on authenticity, but everything we had was unique, flavourful, and satisfying.
The Plov is a must-try. The rice is packed with flavour, and the mix of ingredients gives it a great texture. The Lagman noodles were also delicious, reminding me of hand-pulled noodles with a rich and savoury beef sauce. The cheese and vegetable pancake made for a tasty side dish as well.
I also enjoyed the Manti. The filling was flavourful and well-seasoned, although parts of the dough were a little firm. Even so, they were delicious when eaten with the accompanying condiments.
Tashkent is well worth a visit if you’re looking for unique flavours.

One bite and Central Asia came roaring back up out of the memory bank. The way certain smells reach into your skull and flip switches you forgot were wired. I missed this food. It was a random discovery and had to be takeout. Is it identical to Uzbekistan? No, and only a lunatic would expect it to be, North American produce bends every imported cuisine to its will and this is no exception. Is it tasty? Dangerously so. Would I recommend it? Without a shred of hesitation. The samsa won me over fast, and the chak-chak, which looked dull enough to ignore, turned out to be a small sticky miracle. The achichuk is the tricky one, a recipe with nowhere to hide demanding heirloom tomatoes and the best of everything or nothing at all, but a dash of red wine vinegar dragged it exactly where it needed to go. Mostly I want to salute the people doing the heavy lifting of smuggling CIS-country cooking onto Canadian plates. Real respect for that. Go try it, all of you.
I rarely review businesses, their food really tastes amazing.
