Thai Basil Restaurant Reviews
I found a live, crawling bug in my salad at Thai Basil on Commercial drive. No refund or discount offered. Just a “new” plate of food. Will not recommend to anyone.
Yo this restaurant is my fave the taste was just my liking and I was ordering for the first time. I’d like to eat here again.
Mood. This place is a mood I gotta share this.
Worst Thai food I have ever had! Spring rolls don’t have anything inside them expect only dough and greasy!
Ordered Pad Thai was cold and no flavour!
I was so disappointed I had to share!
I never have given Facebook reviews but this was so bad I had to warn others

Thai Basil Restaurant offers a variety of delicious Thai dishes, including the popular BBQ chicken and ground beef. The quality-price ratio is excellent, with generous portions and reasonable prices. The staff is friendly, and the food is always fresh and flavorful, including their renowned green papaya salad that transports customers to the vibrant streets of Thailand. The cozy atmosphere and small seating area create a lively and intimate dining experience, often bustling with customers enjoying quick service and a variety of flavors. The menu features items like pineapple fried rice with chicken and prawn wraps, which are praised for their authentic taste. Customers consistently praise the restaurant for its authentic Thai cuisine, run by Thai owners and staff, offering a genuine taste of Thailand's culinary traditions. The dishes are fresh, flavorful, and satisfying, making it a great choice for those seeking quality Thai food without high prices. The tofu wedges with peanut sauce are especially appreciated, with some saying they are the best they've ever had, super soft inside and crispy outside. The fish cakes are also popular, and the restaurant is known for its friendly staff and cozy, busy ambiance that is perfect for solo diners. While most dishes are praised, some customers note that the yellow curry can be very spicy, which may not suit everyone. Overall, Thai Basil Restaurant remains one of the most authentic and favorite Thai spots in Vancouver, consistently delivering a great dining experience.
