The Cascade Room isn’t flashy, and it doesn’t pretend to be. There’s no bathroom attendant waiting with a towel, no gimmicks to push it into fine dining. It’s a local restaurant in the best sense, approachable, steady, and rooted in genuine hospitality.

Solid Happy Hour menu. Calamari were fantastic, crispy cauliflower was delish, Poutine decadent. Charcuterie was a bit slim. Note that the Prawns Aguachile is swimming in cilantro, though that's not listed on the menu! And the chicken brochettes were a total miss for us - not much flavour but lots of gristle.

Decent selection of beers, made better by the fact that 20oz pints are $7 for happy hour and all-day monday.
Had the salt and pepper wings. Pretty run-of-the-mill for $17 (happy hour price).
I struggled with how incredibly loud it was, mainly due to people trying to talk over the music playing and couldn't have a comfortable conversation until about 1/4 of the restaurant emptied out.
