Discovered this place last month and we are obsessed! Food is amazing! Recommend the spring rolls, eggplant clay pot and the Miss Saigon Noodle Bowl. Updated from previous review on 2025-12-18
What a hidden gem! I've been to Vancouver many times and I can't believe I've never eaten here before. The Hestia Veggie serves creative vegetarian and vegan Vietnamese food. The food is fresh, flavorful, and vegetable-focused. I especially loved the Vegan Fish Noodle Bowl, which was very unique (after being vegan for 6 years, this was the most realistic "fish" I've ever had!). The portions are generous and reasonably priced. Service was quick and efficient, even during the lunchtime rush. Bright and spacious. Conveniently located downtown, within walking distance of the beach. I will definitely be back!
This place is a must-try! The king oyster mushrooms were the perfect appetizer. I had the curry laksa and it was very good. It was a big portion and the lady serving us even showed us how to properly pack it to go so that it was easy to reheat at home. Would absolutely recommend this restaurant!

We found Hestia vegan on our first trip to Vancouver and we have been back every time since! The laksa curry soup is phenomenal and so is the saffron curry rice. Super flavorful without being overwhelmingly spicy. Apps are pretty good too. Seems like a family run place with very sweet hosts. Folks in Vancouver- check out this place!!

Best vegan restaurant in this city. I love Vietnamese iced coffees and the ratio of their coconut cream to coffee is UNBEATABLE.💓

Just perfect if you’re hankering for some tasty, wholesome veggie dishes, Vietnamese style. Yum! For a drink definitely try the mango soda …. Not just out of any old can but whipped up at the bar like a cocktail by the manager herself. The Hestia Veggie is a real experience. Highly recommended.

We ordered 6 dishes between 4 people without realizing the portions were so big. So we got a lot of food. But the food was so, so, so good that we finished the food and got food coma.
The claypot eggplant was the clear winner. The laksa and saffron curry were tied for a close second.

The food was incredible and the server seemed so happy and was very welcoming. I had Hestia Saffron Curry and it was so flavourful. All the food that was being served looked really good and generous servings. Will make this a go-to place when visiting Vancouver.
