It has been a few years since I had dinner here! Unfortunately, we left disappointed. While the atmosphere was great, the menu has a very “cheap” feel to it now. I understand food costs have increased, though $58 (without tax) for pork and beans (literally) just seemed wild. We also had an issue with our wine, brought it to the server’s attention, and she said the bottle has been open for a day or two so the vinegar notes were normal (wtf), $400 later and we were left confused.
The Mackenzie Room is a must. Our bartender/sever Logan was so awesome and knowledgable. We did the tasting menu for 2 with red wine and added an extra dessert which they put on the house because we said we were celebrating. It's a place you could hang your hat - and we did. The food was spectacular, ambiance warm and well lit, and our favorite thing was the chocolate mousse. Thank you Logan, 10 booms, will go back
The large number of dishes were excellent with only one or two exceptions.
The service did not add positively to our experience. Some of the staff didn’t seem impressed to be there. The prior time we were there, the service was exceptional.
