I threw it away. The cheesecake was the only thing worth eating, I’d say it was fine. The other cakes and desserts (coconut cream pie, chocolate hazelnut cake, salted caramel cake) all tasted like cake mix with gross frosting. Can buy better cakes at Safeway. Had a gross artificial flavour. The cakes themselves tasted bad. $10 a piece is highway robbery.

Ordered the classic chocolate cake last night. It was so DRY 😭. Plus it literally tastes like someone used Betty Crocker cake mix and frosting. Kinda crazy that they charge about $10 for a slice.

Also has a slight taste of coffee to it—wish I knew if it does have coffee because then I wouldn’t have eaten it and had better sleep last night.

The tiramisu was sooo dry omg!! 🤢 Thankfully, my friend let me switch plates, his white chocolate raspberry cheesecake with strawberry purée was delicious. But the tiramisu did kinda ruin the experience for me, please do better!

Bought a red velvet cake that was pretty good. The only thing I mind is that a clerk put a piece of “happy birthday “ chocolate on the cake without gloves.

I have been coming to this place for years. These last few years we always order to go for the most part but my latest visit there was a disappointment. The shop smells like spoiled milk, it’s definitely not inviting at all. In general you can tell there is a la k of care for maintaining the place (dirty walls, smelly tables, etc.) The quality has gone down significantly. The cake tasted ok however it was beyond DRY. As already mentioned in so many other reviews the slices are half the size of what they used to be.

Stingy portion size, given the steep price. Often when I get a slice “to go”, it’s cut so thin that it’s not a complete slice of cake. Part of the slice is missing, as seen in my photo. This is SO DISAPPOINTING and keeps happening every time. I was charged the full $10 for the slice in this picture. It’s too bad because the portion size used to be really generous when they were at the Alma street location.

The taste is always great, but the portion decreased so much... I had this cake since 10 years ago and remeber not being able to finish a slice, but today the piece has gotton way too tiny. For $10 dollar slice, I'm hope the store can be more generous.

i got a slice of the classic chocolate cake and while it’s massive the cake is just so dry. i really was looking forward to trying this place out from the reviews but for $10 i’m so disappointed. there’s better and cheaper bakeries in vancouver. however, the girls who worked there were very nice and patient.

Its the first time we order on uber eats to this location, they have the same taste and big portions, we ordered 2 strawberry shortcake, 1 chocolate and 1 carrot cake, the last two are our favorites and the flavor is consistent, this time the strawberry shortcake was bland, the cake was dry and even though you can add the strawberry jam/sauce it doesn’t improve it.

First time coming to this location. I had the strawberry shortcake with strawberry sauce and cream. I really like my cake. My friend had the New York cheesecake. It’s a little too dense for me. The service was good. It’s a nice place for cakes. Will come back for more.

Marvelous service by Kashish and Krushna. It was last minute hunt for a birthday cake. Denman location said check the Broadway and when I called, Kashish made sure to check and kept the 7" Devils cake aside. I'm very deeply humbled with this gesture and can't thank enough. Saved a birthday and thank you True Confections is one trusted place for last ten years
