My friends and I came from Vancouver, Canada to try this. I love Vietnamese coffee and was so excited to find a Trung Nguyen Cafe. The options are amazing, the decor and interior was beautiful. Most of all, the girl that was working at the cash register was the sweetest. She seemed so genuine, so informative and the kindest person. I would highly recommend.
We ordered the No. 2 Special Beef Noodle Soup and the No. 26 Banh Canh Cua, which was recommended by the guy who seemed to be the owner. We enjoyed both dishes, though we found the soups a bit on the sweeter side. I really liked the udon noodles in the Banh Canh Cua but wished it had been a bit spicier.
My family enjoyed #7 (dry noodles), #5 and #6 (pho bowls), and I thoroughly enjoyed #39 (lemongrass chicken on rice). Food was served a little slowly and not all at the same time but that’s because the kitchen is literally run by one person (the wife, I believe) and the front of house is run by the husband. He was very friendly and welcoming. The only thing I did not like were the spring rolls. Overall would highly recommend to anyone craving authentic delicious Vietnamese food...
