I’ve always been a fan of uncle tetsu’s cheese tart for years, but I’m really disappointed with the purchase this time. The filling is super liquid and not creamy at all. Even the next day, after more than 12hours in the frig, the filling is still very liquid (see picture). I’ve never seen uncle tetsu’s cheese tart in this state. In addition, there’s hair-like dust on the surface of each cheese tart.

Good take out spot for fluffy Japanese cheesecakes. They do certain flavours on certain days of the week e.g. matcha is only available on Mondays and Wednesdays. All cheesecakes at $15.50. The matcha cheesecake was very tasty, and still warm when we bought it, however the bottom was soggy, most likely from being boxed too soon after coming out the oven. A couple hours later the bottom still had a soggy taste which was disappointing.

Uncle Tetsu’s Japanese Cheesecake in Vancouver is a must-visit for dessert lovers! The cheesecakes are incredibly light, fluffy, and perfectly balanced—not too sweet but full of flavor. The texture is like nothing else, and it just melts in your mouth. You can tell it’s made fresh, and the consistency is always spot on. The staff is friendly, and service is quick even when there’s a line, which speaks to how popular this place is. Whether you’re grabbing one for yourself or as a gift, Uncle Tetsu never disappoints. Highly recommend!

I recently visited a Japanese cheesecake store and had a wonderful experience. The cheesecake was exceptionally soft and smooth, truly capturing the essence of what makes Japanese cheesecake so special. The staff at the store were friendly and welcoming, adding to the overall pleasant atmosphere. While the prices are a bit higher than average, the quality and flavor of the cheesecake make it well worth the cost.

Nice Japanese Cheesecake as you would expected from this place that has “Japanese Cheesecake” in their name. Very flavorful, fluffy, soft and moist. We went early in the morning so the line wasn’t long. Definitely worth a try
