Vegan Shoku Japanese Restaurant

Super delicious and unique. A bit pricey for sushi but the presentation is gorgeous. The salmon oshi was our fave.

We're full-time travelers and visited this place 3 years ago and loved it. Our stay in Vancouver is short this time, but our first stop yesterday after we landed and dropped off our bags was Vegan Shoku. It's THAT GOOD. The food is fresh, creative, and consistently delicious. And the service and chefs are absolutely wonderful. The hardest part is choosing what to order!

I went here today and I really loved this sushi place. The staff are very friendly and nice. I first ordered the spicy tofu and yam which were very savory. I then ordered the Futo Maki which had very fresh ingredients. I finished it off with the Vegan Beef teriyaki sushi which was savoury and the vegan beef was tender.

Absolutely blown away by Vegan Shoku Sushi! Every dish was beautifully presented, vibrant, and almost too pretty to eat. The flavors were incredible, fresh, creative, and packed with taste in every bite. Even as someone who has had a lot of sushi, this was one of the most enjoyable experiences I've had. You never feel like you're missing anything because it's vegan; the quality and flavor speak for themselves. No regrets at all just wishing I had ordered more! Highly recommend to anyone looking for amazing food and a memorable dining experience.

We tried the Crunch Roll, Garden Roll, Yellow Dragon Roll, and Salmon on Fire Roll. Everything was fresh, delicious and flavourful with the Salmon on Fire Roll and Crunch Roll being our favorites.

Lovely vibe, friendly atmosphere, and very helpful staff. We’ll definitely be back!

Best vegan food we’ve had ever. This includes visiting places like Dallas, Vegas, and Chicago. I’ve asked them to open up spots in the U.S. so we can have some closer to home. We enjoyed the spam bento box and ramen. We are heading straight there again after our Alaska cruise ends.

The staff are so friendly and helpful, and they have soooo many options. They also offer great gluten free options and take allergies very seriously. I recommend the Philadelphia roll!

Wow! What a great spot. Great selection of speciality and standard rolls. Everything was good!! The desserts are nice and fancy too! Most vegan sushi places are ONLY “fancy/expensive”, but this spot offered a selection that fits any budget/feel!😄 Updated from previous review on 2026-04-19

10/10 - ordered via Uber Eats today (March 9th) and while I’ve been a customer before - I feel like they’ve real stepped it up both on quality & presentation. I was too excited so I took a few bites before I took the picture but would highly recommend. I ordered from them a few months ago and was disappointed it just seemed like bland sushi, but decided to give them another chance today was very pleased.

Incredible vegan sushi. There were meat replacements for everything that looked the part while tasting great.
