Wang's Shanghai Cuisine

This place certainly caught my attention with a line of people outside. Out of curiosity, I decided to try their food, but it turned out to be a letdown. I ordered a tofu puff with vermicelli soup, and it was overwhelmingly salty. The spring rolls had barely any filling, and the beef roll had meat that was incredibly tough. I barely touched my meal and left feeling disappointed.

Really good Shanghai cuisine I highly recommend going to this place

I ordered the Beef Noodle Soup and the Pan Fried Buns. The pan fried buns were flavourful but not amazing. Compared to Shanghai Dim Sum House (白玉蘭), this was not as good. Wasn’t crispy, and not juicy enough on the inside. Beef noodles soup was basically tasteless. No beef flavour, not salty enough. The beef itself was very flavourful. Overall meh, perhaps I need to try the Sichuan Beef Noodle soup instead. Pretty affordable.

It is a little place that doesn't have a lot of tables. But great food. Food is super delicious. The pork pan fried bun was delicious.

Best dumping in town

Decent food, cash only. Tables are small and very close together.

Best Potstickers and shanghai XLB. best time to go is when they just open, their seating is limited and you might need to wait. I remember it was cash only.

Great food

We always come to eat 1.5years before. In the past around 1.5years before, the fried bun was freshly made and fried which are very very yummy with boiling soup inside. Now we order the fried bun, noodles. The foods are deliverers within 3mins which is surprising fast which are like preheat some foods which are made very earlier. The fried bun is no soup coming out and the bottom part of the bun is hardly chewed. The bun is reheated and not fresh right now. I am very disappointed on this. And the Shanghai noodles are combined with broken small pieces of noodles not like hand made. It is over cooked and super soft.

Cash only cosy place with fast service and divine food: soup dumplings are brilliant and must order everytime. Can have a lineup and wait due to smaller capacity. ATM nearby if you forget cash like I tend to!

We ordered the dan dan noodles (spicy), fried bean-paste noodles, and wontons in chili sauce. I had high expectations for the fried bean-paste noodles and wontons, but surprisingly, the dan dan noodles ended up being our favorite. I’m usually not a big fan of dan dan noodles, but these were very creamy, nutty, and moreish! They weren’t spicy for us, though.
The lady who took our order seemed a bit concerned that two of us were ordering three dishes, but I didn’t find the portion sizes overly large—three dishes were just right without making us feel too full.

Overall, I really enjoyed their food and would love to come back to try other dishes.
One thing to note: they only accept cash, not even debit, so come prepared!

If u are looking for a fancy restaurant, nope that’s not it. But food is good here. Once u ordered, the food almost just comes right away cuz they always have line up at the door. Food is not readily made cuz they are hot and juicy. This is what we call efficiency! Pan fried pork buns is the best of all!

Don’t expect service and comfortable seating but brought me memories of cozy China street stalls
