Waves Coffee House - Hastings

Went to the coffee shop around 6:40pm to get my drink as the store was supposed to be open. I go there and guess what… it was closed. I am deeply disappointed by this. if it was around 6:55 and the store couldn't take anymore coffee orders I would have understood that. but this is 6:40pm they have 20 mins until closing so why close early? I couldn't get my second coffee of the day which is the second important one for me.

There’s no ice in my iced coffee. Maybe staff put in only a few ice cubes. I bought it less than five minutes ago, but the ice is already gone. I’ve visited this place three times, but this time is the most disappointing.

The gentleman behind the counter made an absolutely perfect matcha frappe, and he even accommodated my request to switch to almond milk. It completely brightened my day! The taste was spot-on, and the friendly and attentive service made this place feel extra special. The atmosphere is so welcoming that I definitely want to come back. Thank you for such a wonderful experience!

I really like the bagels and iced coffee.

Most reliable coffee shop in vancouver. Come here every day that i work downtown. They always make great coffee, the prices are cheap, and the owner and staff are all really great people. Chi, Paulina, Ali, and especially Homero, who has been working there for many years, keep the store atmosphere vibrant, safe & friendly. Its no wonder many workers downtown make it their go-to coffee shop. Its also really cool to see the many language groups that meet up in this coffee shop. Its often packed with international students learning each other’s languages! Vancouver’s lucky to still have welcoming community places like this little Waves cafe on Hastings.

Waves on Hastings is my favorite coffee shop in Vancouver. The baristas and owner are a pleasure to talk to. And they make the best iced Canadiano (Americano) in town. Coming to Waves on Hastings is a delightful way to start my morning.
