Tucked into a block crowded with restaurants, it's easy to pass over WestOak in favor of one of the bigger names nearby, but doing so would be a mistake.

At first glance, the patio and facade blend in seamlessly with the surrounding Yaletown aesthetic, much like many of the neighboring spots. We had a great time at West Oak. They are open late, staff very nice, the quality of food is amazing. The mushroom risotto, perfection with lots of flavour. I would have taken more pictures but we were so hungry. We drove from Abbotsford and Langley to get to West Oak and it was 100% worth it.

The food is fantastic here, but the music is too loud so it's tough to have real conversations. Our waiter was incredibly friendly and a pleasure, the food was really, really tasty. I'd definitely go back, but it would be nice if they turned the music down a little.
