Loved this place! Just recently moved in super close, and we have ordered from here twice now, both times food has been ready in 10 minutes or less! Not to mention is delicious, affordable for the quantity! We ordered the boxes combo!

Issa bomb, 10/10. No notes. Literally everything is good, so fast, and they’re so friendly. Great value.

Been coming here for 9+ years. Consistent amazing quality. I’ve never had any issue my go to place to eat. In my opinion best sushi in Vancouver. A must try. Had to leave a review thanks again.

This sushi spot in downtown Vancouver has quickly become my go-to! If you’re looking for fresh, affordable, and high-quality sushi, this place checks all the boxes. It’s perfect for grab-and-go, especially if you’re heading to the seawall or one of the nearby parks—nothing beats enjoying great sushi with a view.
What really stands out is how fast and efficient the service is. Even during busy lunch hours, the staff keeps things moving without ever sacrificing quality. The sushi is always fresh, neatly packed, and full of flavor. The menu has a wide variety of options, from classic rolls to sashimi, donburi bowls, and even vegetarian-friendly choices. There’s something for every craving.
Another great bonus is their rotating specials. If you spend a certain amount, you often get a free add-on—like miso soup, a specialty roll, or even a drink. It’s a great way to try something new and makes the meal feel like an even better value. For the price and portion, it’s hard to find anything that compares downtown.
While it’s a small spot and takeout only, I actually love the convenience. It makes it super easy to pick something up on your lunch break or while on the go. Plus, the staff is always friendly and helpful, making the whole experience feel welcoming.
Overall, this place is a gem for sushi lovers in Vancouver. Whether you’re in the area for work, a walk, or just want a quick and satisfying meal, it’s well worth stopping by. Great food, great service, and great value—can’t ask for more. I’ll definitely keep coming back!

Restaurantji Recommends
We’re going into the restaurant and the women inside did the hand gesture telling us to leave right away we didn’t say or do anything we basically just got inside , the women has zero respect and should try taking the basic courses in hospitality.

Rolls consistently fall apart. Taste is OK….
However, today, I ordered dynamite rolls. Avocado was hard as hell (obviously not ripe). They forgot half my order. I don’t choose them for a luxury experience but considering their price, I am hoping for half-decent sushi rolls. :(
Been disappointed too many times lately and will not be ordering again. Would recommend you hit up another sushi joint.

I had a very disappointing experience at this restaurant. The service was slow, staff were unprofessional and rude when I asked simple questions, and it felt like customers were not a priority at all. I don’t expect luxury, but basic respect and timely service should be standard. Definitely not recommending this place and I won’t be coming back.
I’ve been ordering from Yamato Sushi for years and I’m completely obsessed. The rolls are always fresh, super generous in size, and hands down the best bang for your buck in all of Vancouver. Every order hits the spot and it’s consistently delicious, reliable, and such great value, it’s my go-to every time!

Good bang for your buck (sushi special combo A)! The yam tempura sushi and miso soup were my favourite.
