I get the impression owner is being skimpy, even when paying for “double portions”. Feeling cheated.

I found a hiddent gem at the heart of downtown. This curry place is way better than those fancy restaurants out there. I have never had a curry that is so good as in this place. My heart is full of joy the moment i took the first bite. I highly recommend this place. Superb!!!! Curry here, hontoni, oishi desu! To the owner and staff. Arigato gozaimaisu! ?

Solid Japanese curry that tastes authentic. Decent portions for the price. Tonkatsu is very crispy and fresh!

Located at the very end of the food court of H Mart is this stall that sells Japanese curry. Prices start from $14 and up. The curry is good albeit a little bit watery. The katsu was well done, deep fried and flavourful. Once you order, they call for your order and you’ll have to pick up. The dining area is not very nice with seats and chairs pushed next to each other, making it more like a crowded food court. Kind of a hole in the wall restaurant serving ok Japanese curry. Don’t get the cheese, it’s just basically shredded mozzarella that isn’t even melted on top.

He is talented for fry pork katsu delicately and perfectly. In its simple yet beautiful dishes, I feel his Japanese soul.

Probably the best Chicken Katsu Curry I’ve ever had. The meat was tender, the breading was crisp, and the sauce was flavorful. If I had to nitpick, I’d say I like my Japanese curry to have more carrots and potatoes in it. And the hole-in-the-wall type vibe just made the whole experience even better for me.

I would come here 3-4 times a week to study and their food is always consistently good. Their service as well is so sweet and quick.I haven’t been there for awhile but once I came back they’re still just as good!!Such a hidden gem and it’s so affordable with the large portions. Will always be an occurring customer.

The curry itself was good!! It hit the spot after a long day of traveling. The udon noodles you could tell were from a package, which isn't the end of the world.

Sorry about the photos. We got excited and started eating without taking photos first. Anyway, everything was good. They don’t have an all white meat option, but aside from that everything was good. The chicken and pork was fried nicely and the tonkatsu was very flavorful. Not as good as the Curry House, but they don’t exist anymore and no one made Japanese curry like they did. In any case, this place is good and worth stopping by for lunch.

I love that this place is literally hidden. Good Japanese curry with multiple options, but the menu is still simple and the environment has a nice, straightforward cafeteria feel. This is satisfying. I love katsu and karē, and this place dose it right.

The service attitude is very unpleasant , the beef tasted pretty salty , curry source is thick, dense , salty as well and the beef bowl is a super small ones compared to the pricy prices , and its eating environment ( not a friendly place inside h mart, crowded, even no free water any more), the worst dish is the udon in a cheap, white very small plastic bowl (not sure the type of plastic is the reused ones or not ) make the whole eating experience so uncomfortable. It has changed so much since our first visit. Stongly not recommended .
