The chicken chow mien is a solid classic. Generous portions, tender strips of chicken, and noodles that hold up well—especially for takeout not too greasy, and great as a comfort meal, space feels fresher, more polished, and overall better organized. While it’s still mostly a takeout spot, it’s now a more pleasant stop.

If u want quick this is the place and the food is awesome I love there sesame chicken and there yam rolls and they allways go above for there customers. I was sick once and wanted wonton soup with the wonton on the side and they did no charge love the staff and food grate prices just wish they where open earlier

I have been so disappointed lately with all the Asian food places in Vernon. I had heard about the rice box, they have been around a long time. In a last ditch attempt to try to find some good Asian, I thought I would try the House Shanghai noodles & Tom kah gai soup. Big mistake probably the worst Shanghai ever! Over cooked noodles, over sauced, tough beef, no chicken as indicated & the shrimp tasted bad, this whole mess was drenched in a thick gooey sweet sauce of some type. Two bites & in the garbage. The soup base was good, but the chicken was so over cooked, again two spoons & in the garbage. I can safely say I’m not eating Asian in this town ever again. I will gladly make the trip to Vancouver where I’m never disappointed.
Chow mein noodles overcooked, mushy, hardly any chicken. Chicken satay overcooked, dry and barely warm. Go somewhere else, save your money and disappointment!

The worst Chinese food I’ve ever tried. My husband just brought dinner from this place and we couldn’t even eat it. Almond chicken looks disgusting and butter tastes undercooked. Noodles are dry. The only more or less edible meal was beef and broccoli. Very disappointed, 70 bucks and we didn’t even eat.
