Vance Creek Hotel & Conference Centre

I stayed at Chilcoot hotel which is a part of Vance Creek Hotel from 5th to 12th of December this year on the trip with the club. On 7th of December at 10a.m. my cross country ski stuck in the grate installed just before the entrance door to the hotel. The gentle nudge did nothing to extract the ski so I asked the hotel manager Spenser to take a tool to push it from under. To my surprise he did not take any tool or called to his employees who could have experience with such things and began to wiggle it aggressively. When I complained that he could damage the skis he ignored me and when he pulled my ski it has damage from sides and at the back. When I complained about the damage he told that I was a good skier and I would manage. I just bought this skin skies this year and was only the second time I was using them. I think he wanted to extract my skies very quickly at any cost because he did not want other clients to see that the grate could easily capture the cross country skies. This type of grate would be never installed just before the door to the hotel with cross county skiers.
Before departure I came to see him and again raised my concern about what happened. He never apologized and he never suggested to me any kind of compensation.
My troubles did not end there. I was missing bra and camisole in which I was at the airplane. It was so bazaar that I have mentioned it only to my roommate. I hoped she would find them once she unpacked her luggage. They were never found. I have sent the request to the hotel but never received any response. And I am wondering if it was some kind of revenge from the hotel manager?

I recently had the pleasure of staying at Vance Creek while visiting Silverstar Mountain, and I can't speak highly enough of the experience. From the moment we arrived, the staff made us feel incredibly welcome. Everyone we interacted with from the front desk to the housekeeping team was friendly, knowledgeable, and genuinely eager to ensure we had a fantastic stay.
The hotel itself is wonderfully cozy and thoughtfully designed. The lobby was warm and inviting, and our room was spotless, comfortable, and had everything we needed for a relaxing stay. After long days on the trails, coming back to such a comfortable room was perfect.
What really stood out to me was the personalized service. The staff went above and beyond to make sure we were taken care of offering great recommendations for the best biking trails, local spots to check out, and anything else we needed during our stay. It was clear that they truly cared about making our experience memorable.
After a full day of riding, relaxing in the hot tub with mountain views was exactly what we needed.
Overall, Vance Creek exceeded all expectations. The combination of outstanding service, comfortable accommodations, and unbeatable location made it the perfect place for a summer mountain-biking getaway. I will definitely be returning and will recommend this hotel to anyone looking for a wonderful and stress-free stay in the area! Can’t wait to come do it all again! Next time in the winter. We truly couldn't have asked for a more perfect place to celebrate our big day! From start to finish, the customer servicewas exceptional – the staff went above and beyond to make everything run smoothly and stress-free. Every question was answered quickly, every detail was handled with care, and we felt genuinely supported throughout the entire process.
The venue itself is absolutely stunning – from the elegant decor and beautifully curated setup to the thoughtfully designed spaces that felt both luxurious and welcoming. We had over 150 guests, and there was still plenty of room for everyone to move, mingle, dine, and dance comfortably.
One of the biggest highlights was the accommodation available on-site. Our friends and family were able to stay overnight, which made the whole weekend feel like a retreat rather than just a one-day event. The rooms were cozy and well-appointed, and the hot tubs were a total hit – the perfect way to unwind after the celebrations!
Every corner of the venue, from the scenic ceremony space to the ambient reception hall, was photo-ready and full of charm. We received so many compliments from our guests, and we’re still glowing from the experience.

Great stay at Vance Creek! Didn't know that every restaurant was closed for May long weekend. Had only booked a 2 bed unit. When the manager Spencer heard our predicament he immediately gave us a large unit with full kitchen for the same price. What a great guy definitely will be back. Good location.

Family and I stayed for four nights in January 2025. Located right in the village and in close proximity to everything you need to enjoy the mountain (restaurants, shopping, convenience store, ski and board shop, candy store, coffee/bakery). Room had bunk bed for kids, and separate room for us with great view of the village. Snow covered rooftop with hot tub was amazing.

Staff we're amazing and very genuine down-to-earth people. First time visiting Silver Star and we will definitely be back every year!
