“As Usual Cafe” living up to its name. Service? Genuinely good friendly and quick. Food? Pretty much… as usual. Nothing bad, nothing mind-blowing. Classic bubble tea Taiwanese snack fare. Okay spot if you just need a quick bite or somewhere to sip coffee and scroll. The vibe definitely leans younger crowd, think anime fan, anime art.

Visiting Victoria from Vancouver, where we have a plethora of bubble waffle shops, I can say that the bubble waffle at As Usual rivals the best ones in Vancouver and at a lower price point. Perfect texture and flavor profile, highly recommended!

As usual is one of the best places to get bubble tea in Victoria! They are open to their customers getting all different flavour options & sweetness levels. All the staff are so sweet & friendly, and the boba is always fresh. I always get 50% sugar because they do make the drinks really sweet. The soups & other food is also delicious. Would recommend to anyone wanting a yummy meal in oak bay!

The bubble tea is the usual. You can't go wrong with a classic drink
Braised pork rice: I found both the belly and ground meat is a little hard. Slow stew meat should be softer than what they serve. I preferred the sauce are from the stew pot instead of what felt like a store brought bottle.
Fried chicken: Please serve like the photo of the menu. Put some fresh lettuce or cabbage on the bottom and please don't cut the chicken. When you cut a freshly fried meat, the juice will come out unless you let it rest. When the juice come out, your batter will get soggy and it is why you put fresh green on the bottom.
