Hard to find good Chinese food, but this place does it right. The Kung Pao chicken was particularly good. Will definitely be back!!

We went to Beijing Bistro for our Friday before the wedding rehearsal dinner, so they hosted a large group of 2 tables. They did a fabulous job of making sure we were taken care of, and the food was amazing. Can't wait to go back to my new favorite Chinese Food place here in Victoria!

Hands down the best almond chicken I have ever had. Everything was fresh and tasted amazing. The wonton soup was super yummy also. Definitely recommend!

Too Much Alkaline in the Noodles (碱水面, jiǎn shuǐ miàn)
• Northern wheat noodles often use alkaline water (lye water) to give them that chewy, yellowish bounce — kind of like ramen.
• But if the ratio’s off or they’re overcooked, they become slick, slippery, and a bit soapy-feeling.
• That can make them seem slimy

When the sesame paste isn’t properly diluted or fresh, it separates into an oily layer on top and a grainy, sticky one beneath — creating that slimy-slick mouthfeel.
• Combine that with hot noodles, and you get something that coats your mouth like glue.

Great Chinese restaurant in downtown Victoria, both food and service are excellent. After trying most of the Chinese restaurants on the island. The restaurant is the best by far.

An empty restaurant during peak dinner hours should have been telling enough. Food was rough, chicken was chewy. The service was so reluctant lol, the server clearly did not enjoy their work, probably son of the owner.
