Easily the best fish and chips place in Victoria. Amazing value. Feels like a gritty dining experience with no frills but super quality food. Super friendly staff. Real grass roots Island style cuisine not common in Victoria these days

We enjoy our meal every time we come in. We prefer the halibut and definitely think it’s the best of the fish options! Fries and tartar sauce are delicious as well.

What an awesome little spot for fish and chips! Food was terrific, portions are huge, and the staff were lovely to chat with. If I'm ever back on the island, I know where I'm going to eat!

Best Cod in town. Born and raised here and still beats the rest. Husband and wife duo are classic. 🙌🏻

So tasty.

Nice people but food was terrible: very very greasy fries that had been fried several time; fish had thick greasy batter. Tartar sauce was a liquid watery substance. No coleslaw. Will not eat here again.
Not sure what the reply of the owner to my review is about as we had take out and didn't eat there. You must be mixing us up with someone else. No matter really, fact is that the food was as described above..

I have been coming here for the last 25 years, the food consistency and customer service has been held to the same high standard today as it was 25 years ago. Great family , great food, lots of community involvement . Support your local businesses, best fish and chips in the city

Tried this fish and chip shop for the first time based on the number of decent reviews and was let down. I was nearby and walked in to order takeout. The first thing that struck me was the odour in the restaurant. It stinks like a grease dumpster. Second was the layer of grease on the floor coming from the kitchen area. After ordering and being told my 1 piece cod and chips would be ready in 10 mins, I was still waiting after 20mins. The batter on the fish was crisp on the outside but there was a layer of mush between the crispy batter and the fish. Im not sure what this was but it was bad. The chips were cooked ok but had an awful after taste; slightly acid and metal like. While waiting, I was perplexed at the procedure for bring the fish to the deep fryer; carried from the back by ungloved hands. Seemed unsanitary and unprofessional. Dine-in area is basic and stark. Would not recommend eating here.

I've been going to Brady's for years. The batter is light and crispy, fries are home made and the service is top notch!

Absolutely outstanding fish and chips. As a Brit travelling for 3 months I had missed 'proper chips' and these were some of the best. Fish freshly battered infront and cooked to order. Takeaway salt and vinegar. Nothing could have been better and Absolutely fantastic friendly staff too.

My boyfriend and I had the Halibut and Cheeseburger here and got to talk to the owners about places to go/eat at, they are so generous and so personable! If you want a feel for the locals, this is an awesome first stop!
