“We had the pleasure of eating at Four Mile Brew Pub on Sep 2nd, 2024. We were visiting Victoria on a Cruise Ship and a local couple picked this establishment for lunch along with another local couple. The food and service were outstanding, and the building is beautiful inside and out. We ate in the pub area and really enjoyed the experience. The manager really came thru, though. When paying a card case dropped to the ground and we didn't notice it. The manager found it, and seeing a California phone number called and got the house sitter who gave the Cruise Ship information, and then let us know. The manager dispatched an employee to return the card case. The house sitter let us know and we were able to talk to the manager and since the employee was on the way, we were able to meet him and retrieve the case. High praise to the staff! Thanks!“

“Came here with fond memories of the food, my dad thought this was the absolute best restaurant/pub ever. However, this was 21 years ago. Let's see how it compares to what it used to be...
First, we recieved 2 orders which were not what we asked for, apparently they got mixed up and were meant for another table, so the food had to be thrown out despite it not being touched, which is a shame.
We ordered seafood chowder, calamari, Halibut & chips, chicken pot pie, mac & cheese with pulled pork and salmon burger. Overall the food was pretty good.
The mac & cheese was spicy and the pork had Mexican flavours, which was not expected as it was not mentioned in the menu. This made it a bit disappointing as the person who ordered it is not spice tolerant and didn't appreciate the added surprise. However, the pasta and cheese sauce was tasty and well made, and it could definitely be enjoyed by someone who likes spice and exotic flavours.
The seafood chowder needed more salt and could have been thicker, but it wasn't bad. There was a good variety of things inside.
The chicken pot pie was very good and had some interesting flavours.
The halibut was cooked right and the malt vinegar and tartar sauce enhanced the dish nicely. The batter and chips were nice and crispy.
The calamari was good.
The salmon burger was ok but its a small piece of fish, and the ciabatta bun was thin and quite hard/tough.
In terms of the atmosphere, it's VERY loud so obviously hard to talk.
Overall, the food is not what it used to be but still quite good. Service could do with some improvement. Atmosphere has a nice pub feel but not good for catch ups if you want to have a conversation.“
