Cosy cafe bakery in charming village/ neighbourhood . Good selection of baked goods and hot beverages. Our regular stop for a coffee break when in this area. Vegan options and choices for those on restricted diets, wheelchair and stroller accessible but limited space inside, street parking only but we usually walk. Cook St village is a great place for browsing local independent shops.
I came here to compliment the young people working at this location. I've been a regular over the past few weeks and it's been a delight to see the way they interact with customers, especially seniors in our community who might be living alone and are in need of some healthy, wholesome interactions. They know their names, their orders and always take the time to build banter with them. There is a loneliness epidemic in our world; many of us still struggle to recover...
We had delicious iced, oat-milk lattes and pastries. My brownie was decadent, but not cloyingly sweet. Perfect dark, rich chocolate taste and texture. My husband loved his date bar, too. Great afternoon break! Thank you!
