This little local spot is 2 hidden gems in one! A Mexican and an Ethiopian place that both have delicious, fresh, home-cooked meals that honestly always hit the spot, you can’t go wrong! The folks are so nice and the seating area is cozy, colourful and chill. Do yourself a favour and definitely visit this spot when in Victoria!
I ate at Maize
The burrito was awesome and very full. The chips were also great and nicely salted. My boyfriend loved Mole Enchiladas. The rice and beans that came with his went great with my chips.

I'm pleased to see this spot has survived the pandemic: not only that, they recently made it much more attractive and interesting by decorating it extensively in the themes of its Mexican, Colombian, and Ethiopian restaurants. The video on these reviews was from before the changes. The patio areas are also much nicer. I was so happy to see the Ethiopian restaurant survived as I love their range of Wot (sauces). Buy extra Ingera, the spongy bread used to soak up the Wot. Note:...
