We thought we'd try De Dutch again after many years, service is still great and the restaurant is clean. Food was alright, (no walnuts or avocado at 10am however).The hashbrowns are odd, very dry and unlike any breakfast potatoes I've had before, not very tasty.I'm not sure it was enough to have us return, we'll stick to our favorite place.

This has the feel of those family breakfast places that have been around for so long that you can start to take them for granted.This was on a trip to Victoria where I was warned about the whole restaurant scene and that it might be hard to get something that I would be good with. Luckily, this long runner was a good choice and delivered exactly what it promises. It is a good start when the restaurant can at least live up to its menu.I had one of the Christmas pankoek specials and split another one with my dining partner.And the coffee was good. Hard to say about a lot of brunch places nowadays.The sweet was smart without being cloying and the savoury didn't overstep with too much richness.I do hope that this place can stick around for the next time I visit. Much easier to appreciate a place like this when you do not have the opportunity to take it for granted.

I ordered the hash and the frozen hashbrowns were undercooked, and there was no flavor. Absolutely not worth the $20+ I paid. The best part of the mean was the little.container of fruit.

They have false advertising. They say they are open until 2:00 but don’t take customers after 1:00. Would definitely not rely on this place at all if you are looking forward to a late brunch.

Banana walnut pannekoek was served undercooked. I had to flag down a different server because our server never checked in after our food was delivered. The replacement pannekoek was also undercooked, and again nobody checked in. I don't think I'll be coming back.

This place sells thin pancakes. Now they don't call them pancakes but they taste so good they can call them whatever they please. They are also known for their take on bacon ,somewhere between back bacon and ham called " debacon" . I have eaten in many of their cafes for more than thirty years and never had a bad breakfast Buti continue to test. Ihave tried most things on the menu but keep coming back to the" Canadian" because I am and have little imagination. Imagine a large crepe( pannekeok ) with thin slices of bacon somewhat like back bacon, a slice of tomato ? , two eggs and a jug of maple syrup .Service is good and I would give 5 stars but sadly it's not cheap. Worth it , consistently good but still...Oh yeah, I've been to Holland a couple of times and never saw a pannekeok but I'm not observant.My favorite place for breakfast and the North Vancouver location my personal long time cure for late nights and early mornings.Enjoy

Decent place for a breakfast. The Dutch pancake is pretty good. For some reason, eating out in any North American places is getting really expensive and there is no exception to this place. Prices are in line with market.
