This has the feel of those family breakfast places that have been around for so long that you can start to take them for granted.This was on a trip to Victoria where I was warned about the whole restaurant scene and that it might be hard to get something that I would be good with. This place sells thin pancakes. Now they don't call them pancakes but they taste so good they can call them whatever they please. They are also known for their take on bacon ,somewhere between back bacon and ham called " debacon" . I have eaten in many of their cafes for more than thirty years and never had a bad breakfast Buti continue to test. We thought we'd try De Dutch again after many years, service is still great and the restaurant is clean. Food was alright, (no walnuts or avocado at 10am however).The hashbrowns are odd, very dry and unlike any breakfast potatoes I've had before, not very tasty.I'm not sure it was enough to have us return, we'll stick to our favorite place.
