Cute spot second time here.
We ordered the spicy dinner for 2 with an order of “pan fried dumplings”.
The hot & sour soup was delicious (wish it was refillable because it was that good. The Kung Poa chicken was ok, the carrots were overdone this dish should come with rice. The spicy noodles (Singapore) were okay, a pile of dry noodles with curry powder (the small chopped up pieces of prawns were tasty just not enough). The big disappointment - the dumplings were served deep fried - why? We didn’t realize until checking back later that they were supposed to be pan fried - such a shame cause the deep frying would not have been our choice.
Will we be back - probably just for the soup.
We paid $82 plus tip

Ordered take out thru door dash, 2 of 6 dishes were wrong and the cashew chicken was a pile of soggy, over breaded chicken (yes we notified door dash). It looked like it was just thrown together with zero care and attention. It was expensive, and tasted stale, extra salty and just downright gross. I will never return and I will never recommend. This place does not care about the product they are putting out. Safe yourself and your money and go else where.
Service was good, food was really good and the lovely girl from Taiwan was really awesome, friendly and a customer service was top-notch.I would definitely go back there whenever I come to Victoria

Popped in on a rainy afternoon to warm up with a pot of tea and lunch. Really great lunch special! Make your own - pick 3 items ($23CAD). I got chicken chow mein (sooo good), broccoli beef, and wonton soup. Chill vibe/music, great service.

It was fantastic genuine Chinese food in Chinatown. Huge menu and tons of options for gluten free as well. The pad Thai and wonton soup was excellent

Came for the won ton soup and then read they were famous for the war won ton soup. Wow you have to absolutely try this and vegetables work so fresh the soup broth was delicious the vegetables were cooked to perfection loved the pork and the shrimp and the chicken in it this is absolutely such a healthy and yummy choice.
A great little find! A gracious owner who has been here for 40 years. Food is fresh and plentiful at a reasonable price. So glad we stopped for lunch.
Spouse has celiac so needs gluten free options. It is rare to find a Chinese restaurant that clearly offers plentiful GF options. Here there is a GF option menu.
I had the traditional Hong Kong street noodles and loved them; loaded with fresh veg and lots of chicken, shrimp, and house made bbq pork. For the GF entree, spouse had the Chow Funn with wide rice noodles, chicken and Szechuan sauce. Neither of us could finish the huge portion. Highly recommend.

Disappointing.
The ginger beef was unpleasant. Strongly flavoured. Very few options of protein and vegetables on the menu. The fried spring roll was oily and had very little filling. Surprising experience in Chinatown. I expected better.

I'm not sure how rude or insensitive a waiter has to be to put the check into a takeout box a diner just asked for. I didn't use that box for this reason. But they probably will reuse it for the next takeout order anyway, because this is that kind of restaurant that serves moldy bok choys in the soup.

So my family walked in to fan tan cafe and we got seated immediately when we sat down my mom saw 4 flys and we waited around 15 minutes for our order which was nice as we were in a rush. Food was a 3, atmosphere a 3, please do something about the flies.

We have been coming here for years and the food has always been top notch. Well not so much this time! Firstly a big hair seen in food, which was immediately corrected by waitress, then I have to say the sauce on the sweet and sour pork tasted like those cheap VH sauces you buy from the grocery store. The beef for the beef and broccoli was also very tough. Time to find a new favourite Chinese food when we come to Victoria.

While it did take a few moments for the server to notice and seat us. They were very prompt and attentive throughout our stay.
The portion size for the #2 noodle combo was very large and filled up my partner and myself quite nicely. The noodles had a nice firmness to them, and the thai curry peanut flavour was strong and creamy. Very delicious! The only drawback was the deep-fried food, the pork spring roll, and the fried shrimp with our noodles. It was greasy and had a very oily taste to them. Like when the oil needs to be changed in a deep fryer. Was disappointed in those parts of our meal, unfortunately.
