Fern has never disappointed with their baked goods. The cinnamon buns are a must try. They added doughnuts over the past couple years which have always been very good when I've tried them. The scones are another personal favourite. I have ordered a few items off the kitchen menu over the years and been pleasantly surprised but honestly I'm often going for the baked goods. Parking around the back is convenient when available, otherwise parking in the area is a pain to find. Location is small with a few tables inside that can fill quickly during busy hours. Staff is always pleasant. If you follow their social media they sometimes post BOGO near the end of the day if they have treats leftover.

I would go back to Victoria just to visit this place. Everything we had was amazingly delicious; pancakes, pesto roll, tofu scramble, cookies and a scone! What a great place! I highly recommend it.

What a nice assortment of pastries. Also the menu is super, I had the buttermilk pancakes which would've been sufficient for two persons so I took the 2nd pancake with me 😄 Pesto bun one of the best vegan salty breaditems I ever had.

We tried the buttermilk pancakes and pancakes with fried chickun. The portions were large and we were all well stuffed after! They were delicious, fluffy and giant. The classic buttermilk pancakes came with a yummy compote and icing in addition to maple syrup. The chickn pancakes came with a great spiced maple syrup and the chickn was lovely and crispy! The staff were super friendly and welcoming too!

Today we went for some fried chicken~* (I had the waffles & chicken, mom had the ceaser salad & chicken) HUGE portions! So delicious. The staff were so kind and lovely. I also had the Strawberry Lavender Lemonade and it was perfect. Will absolutely be going back.

The service is great. The coffee and macha were ok. but location band ambience does not match with its Google rating. We came all the way from downtown for something ordinary with bot a good ambience and neighborhood.

We visited Fern Cafe in the morning to get some delicious vegan breakfast. The pancakes were great and the portion sizes are huge. We also took some cinnamon buns home to enjoy later. Staff was super friendly and the café itself has a nice atmosphere.

I stopped in for breakfast and absolutely loved my vegan chick'n and pancakes. I also got some baked goods to go, and can vouch for their deliciousness. Definitely worth a visit if you're looking for some tasty cruelty free foods!

We went in starving and ordered a phenomenal cookie, incredible cinnamon bun, scrumptious pizza roll, awesome vegan breakfast sandwich, and the super comforting macaroni and cheese. The menu here is so good and satisfying. Everything was super delicious. Highly highly recommend this really cool place.

I was pleasantly surprised at the menu having a combination of breakfast & brunch options. My biggest issue here was that the young gentleman cook was using his bare hands to prepare food which is strictly against foodsafe protocol and would be very worried about hygiene protocols for this business. Gloves are a must! It really put me off coming back. The tofu in the breakfast burger however was very lacklustre also which does happen when someone who isn’t plant based tries to cook with it. My advice take the tofu out of meals or learn the best way to cook (freeze & defrost for maximum texture). The pancakes were very nice however. The selection was varied and serving staff were professional throughout but I had hoped a lot better based on the previous reviews. EDIT: I love tofu but I just find your tofu to be bland and just there to be there without adding anything, as a plant based chef myself it’s very important to me when I find underwhelming tofu as people new to tofu would be surprised how bland or lack of texture you have on yours, few small changes and it would be epic. Regarding gloves, the gentlemen was handling good and mixing things barehanded, no gloves at all. It was very offputting but I’m glad you have a good health & safety record. I’ve been a few times I might add.

Really great place for some vegan eats. Cozy inside sitting with some limited patio chairs and tables.
