So many delicious and hard-to-find imported goodies. And the deli counter makes one of the best falafel wraps in the city.

I’m a Greek Canadian raised in Toronto where markets like Fig are more prominent than they are here in Victoria. All that to say is, I’m incredibly grateful Fig exists. It’s a comforting slice of home where I can get my Mediterranean essentials - happily purchasing traditional dodoni feta and always leaving with a delicious piece of bougatsa.

The deli food is so good! Can never go wrong with a spanakopita and some tabouli. The staff are always lovely. And great selection of grocery products!

I have been looking for Sumac spice everywhere and this market, had it in stock and readily available. Their deli was full of delicious handmade food. All in all great market.

visited Fig Mediterranean Deli only once recently and was pleasantly surprised. The falafel wrap I had was fresh and flavorful, wrapped in soft pita with crisp veggies and tangy pickled turnips. The deli itself is more than just prepared food—it has an impressive selection of imported olives, cheeses, oils and spices that make browsing fun while you wait. The staff were friendly and helpful, and there’s a small patio outside which gave a nice relaxed vibe. The portion size and value were solid too. I’ll definitely return to explore more of the menu and pick up some of those specialty goods.

Incredible deli, the food prepared there is all delicious and reasonably priced. Very authentic, the staff are very kind and knowledgeable about what they’re serving. The store offers a wide variety of goods available for purchase on top of what is prepared there, perfect if you’re looking for unique ingredients to elevate your meals at home. Everything was incredible, the outside seating makes for the perfect spot for a quick lunch and it’s close to UVIC so perfect for a treat after class.

Wow, so many cool European items here! Even some Russian items which really pleased my wife!
Local gem! Sweetly curated small Mediterranean grocer with a great deli in the back of the small store. Busy but not backed up in the middle of the day, their shawarma, falafel and baked goods are really excellent.

Fig is a hidden gem in Victoria for anyone who loves authentic and flavorful Mediterranean food. Everything here tastes fresh and made with care. The spanakopita is perfectly crunchy, and the babaganoush has that rich, smoky depth that’s hard to find elsewhere. Their olive bread is always a hit, especially paired with the tapenade.
What really sets them apart is the variety, several kinds of feta to choose from, each with its own character. The Macedonian feta, in particular, stands out with its unique texture. And for something sweet, don’t skip the sfuf (a turmeric cake); it’s absolutely to die for.
There are so many other delicious offerings that make every visit exciting, and you can tell this is a place run with pride and passion for great Mediterranean flavors.
And of course, the owner, a delightful gentleman.
Highly recommend this place.

Location of your bike rack is not conducive to having people cycle here when the cars park in that spot beside the rack you can’t get around with big electric bikes. I would suggest you relocate your bike rack.

I really love The Fig. Their salads are fantastic, and they don’t charge by weight but by container size and then they stuff it as full as it can get. They also have a ton of other items I cannot get elsewhere such as Belarusian pirogies and crepes.

Tons of specialty food from the Middle East and a great deli! Tons of varieties of olive oil, olives, vinegars and too many other things to mention. There's also a place to buy tea and coffee and sit outdoors at picnic table or tables under shelter. Friendly and helpful staff. Obviously a place that is loved and supported by the community at large.
