Fudo Japanese Restaurant

Really good sushi and recently had their ramen for lunch, all very good.

I’m reposting this review from the Raku Ramen review page, because Fudo and Raku Ramen are a combined restaurant.

The Ramen here is disappointing: Broth was really greasy, so it needed to be skimmed to remove the top layer of grease. The noodles were soggy, which means either cheap noodles were used, or they were overcooked. The pork portion was also small.

I expect more for a 20$ bowl of Ramen, as that’s the higher end for a bowl.

Great food and great service!
We enjoyed the maki, chicken karaage, and beef bento. Everything was fresh, tasty, and satisfying. Will definitely come back.

Our children loved the sushi!! We appreciate Jeff Constantino who was so friendly, very knowledgeable, and made us the best sushi we ever had! Definitely check out Fudo Restaurant in Victoria and ask for Jeff! We look forward to going here often.

I had the yam roll and dynamite roll sushi. They're so yummy and delicious. It's my go to place for Japanese food now, it's one of the best spots in town. The staff is so friendly and courteous, you receive a warm vibe from the restaurant. I wanna give a special shout-out to chef Yang. They do magic with their sushi rolls. I would recommend this restaurant to everyone looking for a Japanese choice. 🙌🏻🙌🏻👌🏻👌🏻

I don't really like the sushi here.And the young man who is on the till does not talk . I guess he's probably shy , but it's not very welcoming.

I’m so disappointed in their new teriyaki chicken bowls. They used to be amazing quality with crispy chicken. I used to rave to friends and family about their food but it’s not the same quality as before. I wouldn’t recommend. In my opinion it’s not worth the price anymore.

No chopsticks or napkins in takeout order??? Ordered a takeout bento box and asked what the maki would be in the maki bento box. No one knew and everyone had to ask each other. Went with the sashimi bento box option in the end. They gave no chopsticks or cutlery so I had to eat my food with my hands because I went straight back to class with my bento box. Don't assume your customers are taking their food home, at least ask! Food wasn't anything special compared to what I've had on the mainland. I'm glad I didn't spend more money here

chef was eating over the food while cooking which gave off a really gross vibe. sushi was cut extremely poorly like someone had a blindfold on. both the people i was eating with had *SEVERE* stomach issues when they left out of nowhere.

Amazing food. Great service, very friendly and considerate. A hidden gem restaurant. Lots of parking spots. Crispy tempura, fresh sashimi, and the house special roll is delicious.

I was visiting Victoria and was in the area. Went in as Google review was just above 4 stars. How would I expect the rolls and bento to be mediocre (absolutely nothing to rave about) and the customer service was extremely rude. I asked if they had a party tray, the rude sushi chef with a angry face says order a bunch of rolls and that's your tray. Sorry for asking and bothering you, omg. Then the waitress was not much more friendlier. It was not even busy when we went for a quick take-out. My friend who was with me wanted to continue to order, if by myself I would left without hesitation. How does your business survive?
