Has become a go-to for us every Sunday when we're in Victoria. Absolutely boggled at the negative review a few weeks back - the prices are so reasonable, particularly the avocado toast! And literally everything we've had from the above to the amazing waffles to their espresso has been amazing. Highly recommended

I have been coming here with my daughter since she was a baby, and the staff have been nothing short of amazing. When we were having a rough day when she was really little this is where we would end up, and the day would always turn around.
The avocado and cheese toast was the perfect snack, tasty, filling, and I would dare say under priced. That's not even touching on the jam and cheese, which is always a hit for both kiddo and mum.
There is always a rotating array of treats, plus the staples. How can you go wrong when there is both citrus cake and chai white chocolate chip cookies any day of the week? If you are lucky there will be something extra special to choose from Em (still thinking about that chocolate cake and meringues).
The drinks are top notch too, and I love that they bring seasonal specials in; when the strawberry lemonade makes an appearance it feels like summer is here.
Hide and Seek is a place that cares for community, and puts their hearts into their business. They are hub of generosity and I hope will be here for a long time to come.

Easily the best Oak Bay has to offer, which is oddly not very Oak Bay-like. Espresso drinks that are just as good as I've had anywhere in the world. Always a great record playing, and the avo toast is great without being a rip-off.

The avocado toast is unbelievably tasty, would go there every day if I lived in oak Bay. Their coffee is top notch. Go try their bean selection from all over the world. I don't even know how they get so many quality beans in.
I really wanted to like Hide and Seek Coffee, but it was honestly one of the worst cafe experiences I’ve had in a long time. First off, the prices are outrageous for what you get — you’d expect top quality at these prices, but instead you get the opposite.
I ordered the avocado toast and almost everything about it was wrong. The bread was stale, the avocado was bland and mushy (and somehow still managed to have brown spots), and the toppings were thrown on carelessly. It looked sad, tasted worse, and definitely wasn’t worth anywhere near what they charge for it.
I left feeling ripped off and still hungry. There are plenty of better spots around that actually care about their food and don’t charge a small fortune for toast and coffee. Save your money and skip this place.
