La Fogata Mexicana Restaurant

Another favorite spot here in Victoria! The small dining space adds to the cozy ambiance and reminds me of visiting Mexico. My go-to is the green enchiladas, but the sopes are fantastic too. Their Jamaica drink is refreshing and not too sweet, and I love that they serve chips and salsa as a side when you dine in.

This place has fantastic food and service. Nice staff and very accommodating. Place was busy when we came in, so we took a take out order . Came back to pick up our food and space had opened up so they switched our order to sit down and even gave us chips and salsa. 100% would recommend the chicken tacos and the fajita quesadillas.

Came here after a long day of sight seeing. We were looking for some great Mexican food. We chose this place and it was a great decision!

The place was small and tables were close to each other but the vibe was right. You get some tortilla chips inside a small plastic mocajete which is adorable. I got two empanadas -- a beef and potato, and chicken and potato. Both were delicious. My wife got a mulita with birria which was also great.

Get their horchata! Just get it.

We recommend this to anyone wanting to get away from the tourist spots and eat at a place loved by the locals.
