This is the best Authentic Japanese in Victoria hands down. Haven’t had such a wonderful set since being in Japan! I have been two nights in a row.

The Sabayaki and Chicken Katsu sets were perfectly executed and each of the sides are made expertly. Delicious!

The customer service is phenomenal and the atmosphere is comforting. They take pride in their restaurant, make food with love and serve with care 😊

Loved it! What a hidden gem. Fantastic food, great value, very friendly (if quite hands-off) service. It's a small spot, so I'd recommend calling ahead to make a reservation if you don't want to wait, especially on a weekend.

I was there in the evening, and my one note is that you could take this place from a 4.9 to a 5 by just dimming the lights like 30%. A little bit of a lunch cafeteria vibe, but still worth it for the food :)

A group (4 people) of us decided to get lunch for the first time. We got teriyaki chicken and katsudon set, kaisan don, and spicy tantanmen. The set is quite good. The Kaisen don has a smaller portion and the tantanmen is average.

Wish the waitress didn't skip us and asked every other table how their food was.

This is the best teishoku set i've had since living in Japan! Amazing service and even better food. I seriously couldnt stop eating. The sabayaki (grilled mackerel) set came with tempura, miso, rice, some greens, and some sort of grilled salmon(?). The set was $23 - a steal!
