Me and a group of girls went into Nubo the other night and had a great experience. Our server Grace was so helpful as none of us had been for sushi before, and we had so many questions. I have already gone back and wish Grace was there as our other server was not nearly as nice. Seriously Grace was so sweet and we will go back when she is in!

Best sushi I’ve had in Victoria so far. Everything tastes so fresh and is beautifully well made. Will be returning again to try more of the torched rolls.

Best Japanese food in town.Extremely attentive waitresses and waiters. My wife lost her keys and they eventually traced us and my wife picked up her keys... Kudos to all the staff...The drinks are also sublime, especially the Lichee Spritz.Oh, but they should do something about the entrance door, it does not close well enough after people go through it, which makes the seats closeby drafty...But, hey, the food makes up for it...

Very poor customer service. Racist jokes were made coming from the staff and not even an apology was given.I will not recommend ever here. There are better places in Victoria that treat people with respect.

Ratial micro-aggresion costumer service!I called the restaurant to confirm my reservation, and tried to explain a situation about a message I received earlier. The person on the phone says “I’m sorry I don’t speak Spanish”… he laughs and asks me for the name of the reservation.I’ve been in Canada for more than 10 years, I speak 3 languages and this is the very first time it happens to me!I know it’s hard to understand on the phone while being in a busy environment, but there are ways to address it without being racist and disrespectful. While in the restaurant, I talked to the manager (he barely let me talk); and made clear I wasn't looking for any discount. He says “I’m very sorry” but he shows no emphaty at all which made me think it could’ve been him on the phone. It’s 2024, this cannot happen to another person. If you attempted to be funny, you were clearly not. Note that this was a racial microaggression.I hesitated to write this review but honestly you need to educate your staff!

I’ve ordered out a few times from this restaurant and I’ve had great meals each time! I’ve ordered the spicy tuna roll and the UFC (deep fried) twice now and each time they are excellent. They are covered in the perfect amount of sauce and spice, it rarely takes too long for my order to be ready for pick up, and the fish is always fresh.

Food is quite good. Location is good, in center of Victoria. Price range from 15-22$/ dish. For a group of 4 pp (F&B), total spending is around 150$ (exclude tip)
